Demon Hunter, The Devil Wears Prada, Sky Eats Airplane, In Fear and Faith, and Eyes Set to Kill. All are screamo and Eyes Set to Kill is a toned down version.

Hopefully that's what you wanted :p

Asher roths new album and mix tape
Ludacris, T.i, and jay-Z. Little bit of T-pain, kanye and weezy.

Also throw in a lot of System of a Down, and The Cat Empire are a Ska band, bit different but pretty awesome.

White lies perhaps if you dont already have them, Bloc party, and Elbow, Calvin harris is good, The Eagles Of Death Metal, Paulo Nutini and Ocean Colour Scene, thats all i can think of at the moment.

For rap I have some artists like Akon, Lil Wayne, Classified, DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, T-Pain, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, 50 Cent, Birdman, Mike Jones, Rick Ross and T.I.

If you want the names of some good songs I can give you some aswell, I thought that was the original idea but apparently you wanted the artists of that genre.

Demon Hunter is a screamo christian band, kinda like Avenged Sevenfold. A Static Lullaby is another good band. They redid Toxic

If you want some real metal, I'm going to suggest a slightly older band (slightly, but I'll call them older since they've gone through an evolution).

    In Flames

If you want to give them a try, try out their older stuff first. (Metal violin kicks ass by the way).

Lunar Strain and Subterranean are their first albums. Beautiful metal at its best.

The Jester Race was great (and my personal favorite).

Somewhere around Reroute to Remain, they toned back the musical intensity to make way for better vocals. I personally didn't like the transition, but hey... they're trying to keep their sound up to date (read: selling out to sell records... decide for yourself, though).

Anyway... give their discog a listen and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you like metal.

Are you from the United States? If you are, you can use last.fm. It will give you similar music to the music you like. It's pretty cool

There is a difference between "screamo" and "metalcore."

A brilliant screamo band is Circle Takes the Square.

Metalcore encompasses what most people incorrectly label as screamo -- Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, and Avenged Sevenfold (Waking the Fallen era) are all metalcore bands. Eric, I've already given you a bunch of metalcore bands, but you might want to check out Misery Signals.

Early In Flames (anything before 2001) is EXCELLENT as well, as jcrboy said. Grab The Jester Race at least, but I'd pick up Whoracle, Colony, and Clayman too. All very good albums.

For rap, I'd recommend Immortal Technique, Sage Francis and Murs. They're all underground hip-hop MCs, which is the only way to go with that genre imo.

Oh yeah... forgot to mention Sage Francis.

If we're bringing him into the picture, then Atmosphere's at least worth a listen. He's a love-hate rapper, though... either you'll want to liten to him non-stop or you're gonna kick it to the curb.

    But Sage Francis definitely.

How about Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment

I'm terrible at describing music, but I'll give these two a shot:

Dream Theater - Hair metal without all the stuff that was shitty about hair metal (hair, shitty attitude)... the music is great

Liquid Tension Experiment - Pure Music... Solid rock (not metal... but not pop-ish either) tunes without lyrics to weigh them down

Now you may have heard of Endeverafter because of their song "I Wanna Be Your Man"... and if you liked that, the rest of the album deserves a listen.

Dethklok? I think everyone needs them.

That's pretty generic, what type of music do you listen to then. (Btw, I'll agree with you on 8/10 of this thread)

18th and early 19th century music (think mozart, bach and the like. I probably couldn't name you the composers from my head since I just download and then listen to it). Also some random trance/house/club/disco/hardstyle/rum&ass whatever the fuck that shit is called in between my playlist

Most shit is covered, however if you're looking for lyricists

    MURS
    MF Doom
    K-OS
    Del the Funky Homosapien
    Brother Ali
    Common
    Termanology

I agree that 18/20 teachers don't teach children how to reduce fractions.

8/10 is redundant. It's equivalent to 4/5. That's my point, not making up random statistics.
