Is it very hard to maintain a relationship while you are attending university? Assume that both parties are taking sciences.

Are you talking about an existing relationship or a new one? Both doing sciences at the same uni or...?

Yes, sorry. Maintaining an existing relationship at the same university.

    Need not to ask.

If you are both in the same university doing the same course I cannot see why the relationship would not carry on. Unless in the past your relationship hasn't been the best and thus a breakup may occur if the partner goes off with someone else.

Sometimes stress will get the better of you, in the sense that the courseload may be overwhelming or in the sense that one may be frustrated because of success by the other in the subject. University is a great starting point where people define who they usually are, thus, relationships built on loose/false premises usually break apart.

However, if it's a true relationship, and you're into it 100%, there's no reason it won't succeed.

It depends on the person. I have a friend who gets stellar marks (in engineering) and has no problem maintaining his relationship, because they study together and stuff (even though they don't have any courses in common, lol). It's all about prioritization and time management. :p

Huh. I've never thought of university as such a big transition that it could put your relationship in danger. I suppose it could if you took a particularly harsh courseload, or if your significant other were attending a different university. However if you're going to the same school and you're in the same field of study it really isn't a factor.
