Sorry if this seems like a wall of text, but I appreciate anyone who is willing to take the time and effort to read it and help me out. Thank you.

Well it all started around 2 and half months ago when I went to prom with this girl. Some of you may remember a topic I posted then about dating her and all. Well we started dating and everything was going fine. We would meet at lunch time, after school, and whenever we could see each other and we would do some talking, but mostly just make out. This is very early on in the relationship. As time went on, she wanted to get a little bit more rowdy and we moved forward a little bit. We never had sex as we are both Muslim and cannot do such an act until marriage. Now one day decided to go swimming with me. It old my parents where I was going, but she decided that she would lie to her parents and tell them that she is going swimming with her friend, rather than me. So we went, and by the time we were finished, her mother came and actually spotted me with her. Her mother was furious and they both left.

She got grounded for a week and half. She could speak to no one, she could not go out, not use her cell phone or computer. There was no contact for a week and half. Then she got ungrounded, and a few days after that she had to go on vacation for 2 weeks to see family. Now ever since she got ungrounded, the first thing she told me was how many lectures she got from her parents and her older sisters. After that she simply told me that when we see each other now that she wants to slow it down on the action and talk more. I respected her decision and I agreed that we would definitely sit down and talk more. Couple days passed by, then she had to go on vacation to see family for 2 weeks. That is 2 weeks without contact again because she was out of the country.

Now ever since she got grounded, she basically lost her parents trust. She was only allowed to see me every 2 - 3 days, and when I did get to see her it was usually for a max of 2 hours. Also, remember she said she wanted to slow down on the action, so the most we ever did was a kiss her and there. This went on for about a month and to tell you the truth, I was miserable. I don't want to sound like a horn dog or anything, but I truly did miss the affection and when we got rowdy. It didn't mean everything to me, but deep down I thought that affection was something that kept the fire burning between us. The fact that I could only see her every 2 - 3 days for 2 hours max also made me miserable. I wanted to see her and spend more time with her, but her parents would not allow it. Also, getting grounded for a week and a half and then leaving for 2 weeks after that made me sad because I missed her.

All in all, with no affection and only being able to see her every so often made us grow apart. I was tired of it, and the expression on her face ever since she got back from vacation clearly showed me that she was tired of it. A relationship is supposed to be fun and this one was not, however we both really cared for one another. She wanted to meet with me 2 days ago and she sat down with me and told me that she does not see us together in the future. She said that the feeling she had for me before and now gone and that she cannot return the same amount of love that I give her. I agree that we were miserable because of how things were going. I realised it, but I waited because I thought things would change. She broke up with me and I was devastated, but now I am not that bad. I miss her, but I am not as sad as I thought I would be because deep down I knew it was coming and I was already miserable. I still care for her though, a lot. I was curious to know if I should give it some time and try again with her. I mean space between us was what made us grow apart in the first place, and her parents were big obstacles.

What do you guys think, should I move on or wait and see if I can get back with her. If I get back with her do you think that things would still work out the same before? I care for her so much and I know that if I give it time that I can move on, but I really care for her and I am unsure of what to do. Should I move on, or wait and see if I can get back with her?

Try to move on if she cant be there when you two are at your worse she isn't worth the time, Then again this is the reason i don't bother with love.

Eh, if you get back there, the parents are still going to be an obstacle and they're still not going to trust her with you. Move on.

    Girls are mental anyway.

Yeah Ali is right. If we did get back together, then her parents would still be a problem. Maybe I should ask her to just be friends and we can hang out when we are free?

Definitely move on. It will never be the same. Maybe it will happen again later down the road, but learn from this, and KEEP THE PARENTS TRUST. My girlfriends parents wouldn't let us alone unsupervised for along time. But now they let us be alone all day long, and I can keep her out late and night and such. Seriously, parents are paranoid in the begining (When mostly only making out happens) and then months later when they fall in love and start having sex, the parents are relaxing and easy going.

Its time for another pea in the damn pod! Go go go.

Well she is Iranian so it is also a cultural thing. I would pretty much say that they sort of frown upon the relationship. But I did nothing wrong to defy her parents. She is the one who didn't tell her parents where she was going. I even apologized to them when after she got grounded even though it was no my fault. I did everything in my power to make her parents like me. I waited day after day when she could not see me until she could. I don't know I did everything right I would say. :( I think it is just that with her parents in the way, she is not going to be ready for a relationship until she moves out to go to university. We plan to go to the same university, but either of us may have found someone else by then. Well at least I may she might not get into another relationship because the same thing might occur. :\ So i was thinking that I should maybe just ask her to be friends for now and hang out when neither of us are not busy and see how it goes from there or should I just completely leave her alone?

I chatted with one of her friends today. I miss her I want her back. :(

Move on. Getting back together will only cause problems.

Exactly. I don't think that things will go back the way they were before, and even if they do, the parents' disapproval will always get in the way of things I think.

And haha, relationships seem to be something that everyone else can do but I am just incapable of, so I just don't bother either. :/

This is why people like you and I end up devoting so much time to a damn message board, eh?

Better to work on things that I'm better at, in my opinion. ;) I don't do just Neocodex, I'm usually busy doing random engineering/electronics things also.

It would be nice if I was capable though. :p

(GTFOing soon Germ, I put my two cents in already though so I'm not a total thread hog. :p)

Just move on if you're miserable with her, does religion seriously nerf your common sense so much?

Not really, it's just hard to realize and fix problems within your own relationship because emotions get involved, while it's easy (and usually quite obvious) to point out the flaws in other relationships and how to fix it. It's just like that.

Wait. Don't go to her ever. Let her come to you and say she was wrong. If it doesn't happen then don't think much of it. Also work on meeting other girls your parents introduce to you or you find yourself. But keep marriage the first and only option.

Don't take girl advice from Noit.

You're young, you'll end up forgetting about it. Sure it means a lot now, it wont in the future, especially if it was for such a short time. I can't give you the advice I'd give others because of your religious beliefs and how my views contradict that, just know that there will always be an instance where you'll find yourself heartbroken. It's up to you to get over it.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Watch it, laugh, then bate to Mila Kunis =]

Okay even if the relationshop cannot be fixed. She is still an amazing girl. I still want to talk to her and hang out with her as friends, like before we dated. She already said during the breakup that she wants to be friends, and I am sure I can live with that and maybe in the future we may have another chance. But I would rather have her a a friend then nothing at all.

Move on for now, if she becomes a bit more free and you still dig her then you can go for her again when shes not being subject to lots of bullshit.

(sorry if thats not good advice, im rather promiscuous so i dont nessecarily give great relationship advice.)
