I did enjoy the film, for the most part. However there were a few major problems I had with this film. to just name a few:
-the main character makes a few unbelievable decisions that threw me for a loop... how unreasonable and pathetic can you be? I was so annoyed with his schenanigans I couldn't even feel sorry for him if he got caught.
-The first half of the movie is filmed in a documentary fashion, which at some point is just ditched.. but the shakey cam is still in effect... sorta inconsistent.
-They tried to cover way too much of the lore without really explaining anything. It was broad and vague. I wish they would have gone deeper into the story
-why did the aliens slowly degenerated into cat food craving gatherers and only one or two aliens were still working on an escape plan? If they are so technically advanced... why are ALL but 2 of them running around being overly aggressive and pathetic?
don't get me wrong, I don't like movies that spoon feed you all the answers at the very end. Unresolved endings are sometimes entertaining to ponder with other fans.
