So I finally found my way to this site too.
I'm pretty much a neopets addict. xD Well, not really, but I've been playing on and off for about 9 years.
Nice to meet you guys and see you on the boards :)

Oh there are lots of ABs out there. And i don't think neopets can single out only one of them. But with the tons of people that have been frozen lately I think you should be careful when using any kind of ABer/trainer etc.

I've heard we don't even need to read a guide, just to click on start ^^

omg. lol. well I'm sure every programmer wants his/her program to work out of the box like that.........

you still won't get all of the functionality/best settings unless you read a little. :)

    Welcome to Neocodex!

Basically. :p It uses a networked database (hosted by us here: http://www.neocodex.us/forum/itemdb) rather than a list by default. You might want to examine the settings just to ensure that it's doing what you want it to though.

You can also load manual lists if you want. :p

Sounds really cool. And the first that i've heard that doesn't really need those lists.

ah... that's how it's working. I think I also read that every user who uses that AB is also forced to upload data/prices to this itemDB?... very smart imo.

Yeah, but you don't even notice it, because it does not interfere with the ABing process whatsoever. It runs in a seperate software thread so the coding is completely seperate. :p

It also stores whatever items you see in the main shops on the server and we will soon keep historical data of when certain items restock in the main shops (right now we only store the "last seen" but no data before then). Then we can do trend detection shortly after. :p

going above and beyond the call of duty... I like it! :)

are all the Jr. Programmers required to know python?... once I get better at my own projects for neopets, I'd love to apply :)

    Damn that's smart O_o
Recently i've been using the ad-block way of RSing.Because of this I've repriced tons of items at jellyneo's database to be sure i don't go after an item that has drooped in value(done that a couple of times..sigh). but it gets tiring after a while.

Yes, all of the programmers we let on the team know some Python. Our entire framework is in Python, for very good reasons. :p

well if I ever do get good enough to want to apply, at least I'll have one more language under my belt. :)
