It resets at midnight because I got something when I talked to the plushie a few minutes after midnight.
There is no response from the plushie, but as you turn around you begin to think about something. Oh, it's a new avatar!
In case I can't post tomorrow.
Just kidding. Here is what really happened:
There is no response from the plushie, but as you turn around you kick a small object. Oh, it's a Multicoloured Boules Set!

I got around 2000 neopoints as well today.
Yesterday it was a Happy Chia mask.
They really should make an avatar out of this, but it better not be random.

From what I've seen, you either get Neopoints, your pets get fed, or an item. Almost like Tarla, where it's one of a few select items, so that's interesting.
