Wow, this book seems really exciting!

I've only read Jung's journal so far, and, to quote this article, "deemed it both fascinating and worrisome, concluding that it was the work of a psychotic." :p

I don't really understand why they didn't release it before. It couldn't possibly be more psychotic than Lovecraft. Still, if the family wished it not to be read, I'm not sure it should be.

Well, I mean, it's your fathers personal nightmares and psyche being put out in the open. No matter how great he is academically, it's personal shit. It's like releasing a diary. Now that the grandchildren are a bit detached from nearly half a century since his death, it's not as much as a trauma to put out a piece of work like that. I'm sure Jung woulda released it in his lifetime if he lived to be 105 though.
