One day? At the rate you're going it'll be more like tomorrow :p

Haha :p. We could have the best product in the world, but if we don't market it properly, then no one will know about it and no one will use it :(. If anyone knows a lot about advertising, contact me please :p. I can program fairly decently :p. I can't advertise for shit :p.

Hey, there are some items in the DB which are no trade and others that are NC mall items. Could you please allow the phrase 'no trade' and 'NC mall item' in the price area or instead a label so that people know it's not in fact 'unpriced'. Not sure how you'd do it exactly, but it'd be handy as an option.

Could you allow more editing abilities for private+ please?
There are items that can never be priced because they don't stock in shops and VERY rarely show up in the trades and auctions (coloured petpets for example), but exist just the same. I can't change the price of some of these items to buyable because apparently only the bots can do this.

We're going to be getting rid of the NC mall items eventually since we don't officially support those items yet. As for the moving of unbuyable items to buyable status without a bots help, I'll have to think about that with the rest of the team to figure out the best way.

It makes no sense though. If it was never priced by nobody then it was priced at some point by somebody...

If it's unpriced then you don't need the last priced part, otherwise you'd have to put something which would look slightly odd like Estimated Price: Unpriced NP (Last Priced: Currently Unpriced).

Yeah, it ended up that way mostly because I hacked it together real quickly. I'll do it properly in the next version :p.

I think the way advertising could work is by putting more search terms into google and what not, y'know, Item Databases etc... things that would actually draw people to the site. The one that drew me here was the fact that jcrboy was so leet at solving the Lenny Condrums.

    Just an idea.

That's pretty good :p. I've tried to do that with the descriptions and meta tags on the items database. The regular pages on the item database uses a generic description but the individual item pages have descriptions and keywords tailored to the item name and whatnot. Titles are just the item names also so that should help with SEO as well. I've also submitted a sitemap to Google (working on bing and yahoo) and update it daily with all of the items in our database. Google has indexed 915 item pages so far so that's pretty good :p. They number goes up every day and hopefully one day they will index it all :D. The goal is that when someone types in a random item that exists on Neopets into Google, they get our database :D. We're also thinking of a legit site to host these tools for legit players who don't want their accounts to be associated with Neocodex. We'll see how that goes :p.

Ah yes. How popular is that? I once tried to change his name to Jeeves! Bring me a sandwich! but IPB didn't like the exclamation marks :(.

    Everything Hydro just said.

Going to google and searching Neopets+Item+Database we're 6th on the list, the first two magically being Jellyneo's (One being the main page, and the other the help page for them), and searching just Neopets+Database, we're 9 down on the list.

Really cool that we're right on the front page on google so if people don't want to use Jellyneo they'll see us and hopefully try our's as well.

How come there are a bunch of items that seem to just be their image link rather than their actual item name?

Found another duplicate: Green Peophin Morphing Potion

Yes. We found alot of duplicates. It seems to be matches with a certain type of image link naming format. We are looking into how to fix this.

I'm going to go ahead and post what I have found thus far in terms of errors in the ItemDB

Error #1 - Wrong image for name
    http://www.neocodex....morphing-potion
    Error #2 - Dupe item
    http://www.neocodex....sort=asc&lim=20

To combine 1&2, just check here:
    http://www.neocodex....sort=asc&lim=20

Items that do not exist (Double checked through ShopWIZ)

So how did all this bad data get in there? That was something we expressly set out to avoid. :/
