The fact that it's attached to a pet means there are less available in the market, and since it takes a year to get the avatar, there are less on the market for a longer period of time. They aren't insta-avs, it takes a year... The avatar part of it hardly plays any role in its price.
Also: Buy the Snowbunnies, Discard all but a few, ???, profit.

It's more fun to discard them, and I make a good enough profit with Abrosia I won't care about the bunnies. Why discard? You might as well keep them in your SDB and sell them off a little at a time without making it public how many you have.
Besides, you won't be able to get much of a profit off the bunnies anyways, people won't suddenly pay 2x for a Snowbunny just to have to wait a year for the avatar when they can either use a pet that's over a year and zap it with the Petpet lab, or just get lent a bunny from someone on the AC boards.
You can lower the supply and up the price, but that won't change the demand for the bunnies at all.

Not the initial demand but as price goes up normally demand goes down. It's more fun to discard them, and I make a good enough profit with Abrosia I won't care about the bunnies.

Which just makes this plan worse, as nobody will want to buy them, which will just be a waste of money. Not the initial demand but as price goes up normally demand goes down.

I'm agreeing with your point, just with the exception of discarding them bc it's pointless and cocky it's not like it takes any skill to get rich via an AB >_>

It's just as pointless as buying the Snowbunnies in the first place to try and make a profit off of them by falsely inflating their price.I'm agreeing with your point, just with the exception of discarding them bc it's pointless and cocky it's not like it takes any skill to get rich via an AB >_>

True. We just need to find an item that is needed. Although, items like that often restock at a pretty good rate.Which just makes this plan worse, as nobody will want to buy them, which will just be a waste of money.

I'd participate if I wasn't a money grubbing bastard that wanted to save all of his dough.
I too am a money grubbing bastard, but I have hope for the snowbunny.
I feel that if this is done right we can fiddle with the prices, and inflate them up to at least 500k a piece which is still profit.
We've done a pretty good job of clearing out the TP already as there seem to be less now than there were a day ago.

The problem is, people are going to look at our inflated prices and think they are too overpriced, they can just get one lent to them via a generous person on the AC instead of paying 500k over the regular price and leave it for a year.I too am a money grubbing bastard, but I have hope for the snowbunny.

Lending the petpet back and forth is usually what people do to get the avatar instead of buying a fresh one and getting it, so the demand for the Snowbunnies is relatively low, so it would take too much time and effort buying them all out and putting them back up on the market for a higher price.

People loan snowbunnies out to people for a year? What kind of person would do that?

All we have to do is buy out every one on the TP and everyone price them alot higher, no one will reject this new price because no more are stocking, and those that will sell will check the TP price first, and see our price.

It takes a year to age the snowbunny to get the avatar. There are a few people who chain lend them on the AC and Premium boards, so I've seen, usually attached to other avvie pets like a Draik etc.
I think if someone wants a snowbunny JUST for the fact that it's a petpet and they don't really care about the avatar, this could work, but there aren't a lot of people out there asking for a snowbunny as a petpet.
I think a quick ageing petpet would work, like Quads, they sell for around 130K, that's how much I bought mine for, and they take two months to age for the avatar. The only other way to buy them is through the krawk island petpet shop with a buttload of dubloons, which, I think is much more expensive compared to the TP price.
Maybe Quadrapuses are the way to go?

Are these retired? This would make it much easier to corner the market.I agree with the others, now that I think about it.

Yes. To do this with a snowbunny, you'd paint it white. Intead of becoming a "white snowbunny", it'd just turn into a normal one.Might be a little bit off topic but since we are talking about a petpet, after you paint it can you return it to it original state, like brown snowbunny to just an original snowbunny?
