I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. My friend and I recently went with Neopets Premium, and had it for all of four days when our accounts got frozen for "scamming". He was told that because he purchased and sold items through his store that were from scammers, he himself must be a scammer, and therefore his account will remain frozen.

I ask, how stupid is this? The Super Shop Wizard - which is one of the MAIN DRAWS of Premium - goes through all the shops, picks the cheapest item that you requested, and shows it to you.

Stay with me now...

You buy the item because it's undervalued from what APPEARS to be a regular shop. You put the item in your shop for resale and .... boom. You're a scammer??? WTF?

Are these people for real? Both his and my accounts got frozen for this. Hell, I wasn't even finding super cheap items like he was. But apparently, this is a Premium user trap. It amounts to a method for TNT to scam the players! They want payment for the SSW, then freeze your account in the hopes that you'll walk away, and they get to keep your money!

Want further proof, consider: why are all the dispute resolution (what scant amount there is) pages on the OTHER SIDE of the login page? Why can't someone access that when their account is frozen? Also, the total lack of evidence, and total uncaring of TNT, just automatically assuming that you've contravened their terms and conditions. ALL BY USING THEIR OWN SITE FEATURES.

I know that this site specializes somewhat in bending (politely) Neopets rules. Whatever, this isn't my issue. What irks me is that TNT is playing their own con, only they're using REAL money.

So I wanted to know: did anyone on here ever get burned using the SSW?

Thanks.

I've never had this happen, but I might have a solution for you.
Because you did nothing wrong (I'm assuming you're telling the truth) you can contact the BBB, better business bureau, and make your case.
You have a good chance at getting your account back because you paid for premium (I'll also assume you didn't do the week free trial and you actually paid, if you didn't pay you have a less chance of getting your account back.)
I believe the BBB rated neopets as a F on their scale and people that go to them have a chance to get their account back.
If you do go this route, make sure you have a good amount of information available about your account, like neofriends, what date you created the account, items you had etc. Most importantly you need to make yourself a GOOD case and emphasize how unfair this freezing is.

I used SSW before when my brother wanted to try Premium. But after I used premium I really didn't care for it anymore. The SSW was nice but not over the top. Sorry that happened to you, but you absolutely want to make sure that you cancel your subscription now. Because a little known secret. They will continue to charge you until you cancel it, regardless if you are iced or not.

Lol how horrible. TNT should really work on their customer appreciation, instead of concentrating on the ICE button and making money. Oh well..

I would definitely contact the BBB. Are you already paying or was this during your trial period still?

The most important thing is to cancel the suscription first.

After that, join the un-legit side. Just take it as an expensive mistake.

That's odd, and sad. I don't get how cheap items on the wiz would be from scammers anyway :/ But try what the others mentioned, hope you get you account back.

Okay, so I managed to FINALLY get hold of the billing department. My friend got a refund, and I managed to stop the billing to my CC. I'm never getting the account back, neither is he. The customer service rep who contacted him actually told him that it is beyond their power to return the account because they ALREADY DELETED IT.

So what does this say? They open the bidding at "f**k you." They make the accusation without any proof whatsoever, then act on it.

So I've started a new free account; it'll be a cold day in hell before they ever see a cent from me. And now, where I used to play by the rules, well...

...let's just say some of the things I've read on here make a LOT more sense now.

Well it makes the Super SHop Wiz function really useless though since if you buy it at a low price = scam. Buy it at a normal price = I don't need the SSW for that.

I'm sure neocodex programmers can create a program that buys underpriced item(i.e SSW) and look legit at the same time.

As far as I know there is no way to make like an SSW. The closest thing we can get to is refreshing a few times and getting the lowest price.

I know plenty of people who were never frozen for using the SSW to snipe items such as H400 Helmet and Transmogrification Potions.

    TNT is stupid.

TNT is retarded for freezing anyway. In my old account that wasnt even premium, i was frozen because the score on a game was well over the highest score. I never used a program or anything, that takes the fun from the games, but they froze me and kept me froze because of it. i was rotted

Being the friend that got frozen along with crazycga, It has opened my eyes to the TNT and crap then like to pull, I have been doing some digging on them since my paid account was frozen for "buying something from a scammer" according to TNT. I have tallied over 24000 complaints to BBB around the US and Canada in the last 12 months.

I played by their rules on my old account, now it is my mission to make as many NP's as I can (already 350K in 50hours) and to help the neocodex team create auto (everything) to continue to exploit every whole in their system.

I come with over 30 years of advanced programming experience and one goal rip apart their systems and create automated programs that to exploit the game so that no TNT member can look at it and see automated behavior.

    Sincerely,

According to the BBB website, they've only actually had 4 complaints over the past 36 months.

30 years of advanced programming? So you've had experience with BASIC all the way through to C? Awesome. :)

Yes, he has. When I said that I'm not a programmer, let me tell you, HE is!!! We'd already been working on some *ahem* "automated" features when I stumbled across here. So, yeah, we'll help. Posted Image

Oh right, what are you coding in & what are you planning on creating?

There are specific procedures you must go through to get your program published on Neocodex.

When you take the number of complaints filed with all the local BBB's at the local, state (province in Canada) and then the national BBB's the number grows dramatically...

Basic, hell basic is an advanced programming language to what I started in, 6502 machine code on an original Black (educational only) Apple II.

    But yes languages I know:

    Pascal
    C
    C++
    C#
    Objective-C
    PHP 3-5
    Perl
    Python
    Basic (about 6 flavors)

I have been programming on unix (kernel level code) for 14 years, in C and C## but have been doing more coding for mobile devices these days... One thing I would love is a program for the iphone that does all the dailies for you, including the NP Gen using a timer to make sure your 24 hours for the links is always current and not missed by a couple of minutes...

Oh right, what are you coding in & what are you planning on creating?

That depends, first I would look at creating an automated link updater for the NP gen program so invalid links are removed before people continue to hit them. Mine hit a 404 error today off of one of the followed links, tracking a automated process that tracks that daily or weekly from the site would be a good safety factor the NP Gen.

As I stated earlier I played by the rules until Thursday of last week when TNT froze my account for a total crap reason, so I am new on here too, what are the procedures and I am sure those can be worked in as well.
