Well I awoke to find my new three week old account frozen by the NeoNazi's, the reason given on their less than informative frozen page is that I was scamming people out of NP or items.

I have been running Abrosia on the account for about 3 hours a day (at different times) on the default settings, and NP Gen once every 48 hours.

And had amassed 1.9M in the bank in the three weeks so I wonder if that is what caught their attention.

If you got frozen because of the aber, usually it would say that you got frozen because of "autobuying" (it would say on the frozen
page). Anyways, there isn't much we can do.

Scamming members out of NP or items is an odd one, have you been transferring stuff between accounts or something? Or do you only have one account?

If Abrosia was the reason they would have probably given you a message about using programs rather than scamming. :/

I still don't understand how so many people get iced after a few weeks of autobuying, I haven't been iced for like 3 years on the same account... O_o

Yeah.. I reckon its something to do with it being such a young account. :/ I tried to let my new account age a little before I started ABing on it. Posted Image

I have fired off the form letter form asking for the reason I am accused of scamming. So I will let you know what they say if anything.

I had two accounts, one my main account and a guild account to run a guild. the guild did not even have a store. Yes I had transferred avatar items into the guild account for holding to lend to other members. But that is it. The guild account has been frozen as well.

I have not been involved in any trades, not auctions. I even built a pet up to level 18 and then put it in the pound for someone else to enjoy.

I have sent in their dispute form, but we all no the neoNazi's don't really care enough to answer.

    Weird.
I only started ab-ing when my account was 2 months old and I'm fine so far. I've made around 11 mil. off ab-ing, and I'm taking it relatively slowly. I doubt I'd have the patience to start over if I lost my current account.

There is one worthy thing to note about this though. The last time he was frozen, they took down my account as well, mistaking he and I (we have the same first name.) We assumed it was because he logged into his account on my computer and vice versa. Examining the cookies that neopets leaves confirmed this.

Since then, we've all been very careful to use the incognito mode in Chrome (Ctrl-Shft-N for a new window) or other browsers. It seems to work; my account is still active. As is my side. As is my ... "other" ... account.

It leads me down a sad road, though, in that I'm convinced that neopets freezes everyone who purchases from a user store at a deeply discounted price. Consider this scenario:

Someone hacks into my account, swipes all my neopoints, and makes enough time to throw everything in my SDB into my shop at a deep discount (i.e. close to free.) TNT assumes that the people who purchased from the store are therefore the scammers. (Makes sense, right? How else could you effectively try to keep yourself isolated from stealing the items? Of course, you'd have to be an idiot, but, you know...)

So along comes a legit player using either the Super Shop Wizard, or lets say that our unfortunate prat gets a lucky hit with the regular shop wizard. (Hey, a codestone for 600? I'm all over that.) Boom, buys it.

Except now TNT is convinced that our prat is the scammer, and the prat takes the prat-fall.

    Nice, eh?

The problem here isn't the scamming. The problem is TNT and their Nazi-SS regime of "we don't give a f*ck what you say" idea. I tried explaining to them this problem when my premium account was frozen. When I made some good points, they merely ignored me.

I think this is what happened to knowidea. It's just my opinion, and we'll likely never know because those f*ckwits won't tell us. But they are freezing a LOT of legitimate accounts for what amounts to a flaw in their logic....

    Ideas?

I'll confirm this whenever the USAB is finished I guess. Since it will be buying alot of stuff at discounted prices :p.

Years ago you could make millions from it.

Indeed especially sniping particular items with insane success rates......
around at least a mil a day no probs....
Ahhh the good old days of USAB....

But it does get you frozen USAB more so than MSAB

    100% wrong...without a doubt.

I used to USAB for 24 hours everyday for weeks on end when we had Element in Private. It would be using multiple accounts to search for the items and one account to buy the items.

I made millions everday and it funded my NP selling site. My main account now is the one I used to buy all the nerkmids, PB 's and Krawk/Draik TMP's....one day I got a Krawk and Draik TMP within about 6 hours of each other.

USAB is massively less risky than MSAB.

Yea, MSAB is a lot less risky but a lot less profitable as well. risk and profit are proportionally related...

Obviously you were using a superior USAB to the one I was using, hence your results.

I said MSAB is more risky.

There is no way that you are going to be frozen for buying items cheaply unless the two accounts can be linked in some way or the account was hacked. If you could be frozen for buying items cheaply then all the SW snipers who grab PB's etc off nubcakes would have been frozen long ago.

Obviously you were using a superior USAB to the one I was using, hence your results.

Which would indicate that a crappy USAB will get you frozen...not USAB itself.

If you work off that logic then you are basically saying experienced players who left the game for a while and started a new account can't do so because they will be frozen....don't think that is the case somehow.

Yea, but you have more of a chance of getting iced than a true newbie, bumbling through the mechanics of the game

Speaking from experience, if they iced you for Autobuying, that would be in the description when you logged in: "This account has been frozen for auto-buying in the shops". If you skammedlolz then you skammedlolz and thats what TNT does, they pin-point you to their accusation, and when you send them a form in they will give you auto-mated replies :).

Let's be honest here, there are hundreds of thousands of people who cheat even worse than most of us.

Also, TNT is trigger happy on the freeze button.
