I had a thought while looking for an avatar list. What if we had some sort of log/list/database for each user to keep track of what things they have collected--avatars, gourmet foods, stamps, books, lab ray (I know we kind of have this one). Other sites have one or more of these things and I think it could be a draw for new members.

Yea, I like this idea but I feel that this would make it easier to compromise our np account though

I know that Noit has been thinking about this for some time. Especially when we heard that Avatar.Starried was most likely going down, we'd like to be the ones to fill the void... but then again, that's a tool for legit users, so it would most likely wait until we had a legit end of the site to store the functionality.

The data would most likely only be visible to ourselves... so there would be no need to worry about outsiders coming through and grabbing our account info

What needs to happen for that to work? A legit component, I mean. Would it be like a splash screen image, devil-angel, choose-your-own-adventure kind of thing? That could be fun.



Yeah I was using spankaroonietwo to keep track of books, but their website account has been suspended for who knows how long. That's another void that could be filled by Neocodex.

Now here's the thing. Fuck other sites. I don't want their data. I want Codex to be a self-sufficient Neopets ecosystem.

I'm tired of using other sites when I could have the same damn thing here.

I'm not frustrated about it... I just have a vested interest in this site. I like having a one-stop shop. And I want our information to be the best, most up-to-date information. Their are certain times when even I will go to other sites, but I try to avoid it as much as possible :3

I respect the work they do, but it's relatively simple data that we can gather ourselves.

We've got a big list of all these things which we plan to do, I think we've got some more interesting projects which we'd like to put out before the suggested one but it's definitely on the to-do list. At the moment everybody is either already doing projects or have things like exams to do though so things have slowed down for now.
