So I've been watching lots of WoW vids on youtube lately. I was like fuck i miss this shit. And I was
planning to buy it. My character is 70 lock and I had fun playing WoW so I decided I'd give it a go, but was still
thinking if it is worth it. So I go on ebgames.ca to see how much the expansion; WotLK costs. Then I notice
a NEW expansion - WoW: Cataclysm , apparently it hasn't come out yet. And I was like wtf. . I'd be so FAR
behind. But I think I'd be able to catch up - oh say 3-6 months. But I was still debating ; then I came upon Aion.
And shit it looks good, but I don't know if my comp being as old as it is will handle the graphics ( it handled WoW Graphics just fine btw ). The pay system is the same for both games.

Still IDK if I even should go back into the world of MMORPG considering that I'll one day quit again and be behind
AGAIN, but if I return to WoW and play WotLK now ; costing me around $80 for the expansion + gamecard.
That'd be 3 months of play. I'd play for 3 months get to 80 in say a month. Then have fun raiding/pvp the next 2 months. And most WoW players say that the Cataclysm expansion won't come out till during mid 2010.

WHAT TO DO?
Have fun playing WotLK before Cataclysm comes out?
or try Aion?

mmorpgs are so expensive, i'd say do neither and save the money :)
if that's not a suitable solution....play the game that has more active users. i think that would be WoW but i'm not sure.

WoW just got an amazing content patch, which is guaranteed to be better than a Korean Grindfest.

    lmfao. "Korean Grindfest". Okay. Sure.
The Aion US version was made to be less of a grind and easier.

And what MMORPG doesn't require you to grind? And WoW is pretty easy.
Besides from Pre-TBC everything has been pretty easy. I miss Pre-TBC
raiding MC/BWL/AQ40/ZG(lol). Those were fun. ;S I never tried naxx, my only regret.
I heard it's been taken out and made only for the 80s.

I personally don't like the whole concept of the classes given to
the races that once couldn't use them. It's retarded, I say it's fine the way it is.
But it hasn't come out yet I hope it doesn't for another year. lol.

Edit: Don't forget PVP back in pre-TBC. Those were the days. .

Enjoy your crappy end game content of Aion then, it's nothing but PvP.

And if you're going to wear your nostalgia goggles all the time when looking at WoW, then don't even bother going back, you're probably going to hop on the hate wagon and bash it because it isn't as "great" as Vanilla WoW was, and if you think the game is still easy, I'd like to see you get into a raid and take down Algalon the Observer in Ulduar, or wait and try the Heroic Icecrown Citadel encounters, I ensure you that those won't be as easy as the starting raids make the game look.

Lmfao. Shouldn't be too hard. My old guild is in that content. If I go back
I'd get a spot back in.

I wouldn't know about the content since I haven't played in 2 years.
But when I raided we hardly wiped on bosses in SSC. Sadly I left before they started
The Black Temple and finished SSC. And not to brag but I was 4/5 s3 and a friend of mine
who I raided back in pre-tbc wanted to buy my char for $300 USD. Sadly I didn't have paypal,
since it was my bros account I took over after he quit. lol. And time expired before
I actually could arrange a deal cause I was hesitant back then.

& Don't be so pissy rofl.
I know you love WoW and Blizzard but chill. Hha.
And stop with your assumptions. First off, I loved playing WoW
pre-tbc and tbc. And hop off their dicks for a moment.

    Have you played Aion? jw.

Not That hard? You're underestimating the difficulty of it, Algalon is hard enough with his lockout timer of only 1 hour per week to take him down, but he's nothing compared to Heroic Arthas, so unless your guild is one of the top guilds in the game, you're going to have difficulty taking either of them down or even having a chance.

No I haven't tried Aion, I'm going to waste my money when I could be spending it elsewhere, but I have friends that played it and none of them stayed for long, people obviously overhyped it and it wasn't as enjoyable as people led on.

Aion is still new fairly new, not even 2 years old yet. And it already has an astounding
growth and population of players. And your friends may have different inputs from
the thousands/millions who play Aion. And maybe your friends like things handed to them rather than
going for it. People have different play-styles and likes.

. . . & How do you think WoW started?

" You're underestimating the difficulty of it "
^ You're now being seen as a big hypocrite.

You tell me not to underestimate it - yet I've played the WoW (endgame TBC,
pre-TBC) and I don't think it was that HARD, pre-tbc had some actual challenges MORE than TBC ).
Yet you've NEVER played Aion and judge it through your friends. Then why can't I judge WotLK
    through people's comments?

    Again assumptions. .
And again get off WoW's dick.

Edit: Idc if you're gay or not, but you're giving head quite an awful lot.

Not 2 years old? It hasn't been out for SIX MONTHS in North America, let alone 2 years.

Plus, the only real difficulty Vanilla Raiding had was finding and handling 40 people at once and making sure all of them actually do their job, come back to WoW and see that Algalon isn't something you can faceroll and get away with it, just unlocking him is hard enough as it is.

I'm not insulting you with my replies, but yet you continue to do it yourself, keep it up and I'll take it as harassment and take some action about it.

I'm talking about the release date in general when it actually first came out.
Which was in South Korea somewhere in 2008.

And where do you see the harassment?
"Get off WoW's dick?" and you're telling me you play WoW
and you can't take that kind of shit? lols.

I never once said you were insulting me.
    Again assumptions. Stop making them.

So you're saying when playing Algalon
you don't need 20 people ( or how many ever you need in the raid ) to do their jobs?
They can just fuck around and manage to down him? Hypocrite.

Tell me your server and I'll reroll. If I possibly return.

For AQ didn't you need fucking resources to give to NPCs before you were able to open it?
Which took months btw; And MC you'd need Fire Resistance Gear. And havecompleted UBRS.
Nowadays you don't see enough tanks with more than 2 tank gears for a certain raid.

    Don't kid yourself.

Edit; You must be the one insulted, considering you'll take action
    on "harassment".

You asked if you should play Aion or WoW, so I said WoW, yet I'm riding WoW's dick because I think it's a better game? You should get some shit together there.

It's a lot easier to get 10 or 25 people to do their job then it is with 40 people, and it takes more time to make sure they are all ready and around.

Plus, don't take the AQ opening event and compare that to the difficulty of a raid, as they are two different things, one takes time, the other takes skill.

LOL AQ doesn't take skill? Do you know how many people would bash you for that.
    You'd become an outcast ROFL.

Yeah good job. And It's called debating. Yeah
there's PROS and CONS. Cause I'm seriously debating if I should get back
into it. Or just try a whole new game all together.

Cause all your saying about Aion is that it's grindfest ; WoW's been called that before.
That your friends don't like it. Trying to get both of the good/bad sides for each game dude.

" It's a lot easier to get 10 or 25 people to do their job then it is with 40 people, and it takes more time to make sure they are all ready and around. "

Again - WHAT? Hope you read that correctly. Didn't realize
that having 40 people took less time than having 10 or 25. Haha.

Edit: "Plus, the only real difficulty Vanilla Raiding had was finding and handling 40 people at once and making sure all of them actually do their job," LOL hypocrite. AGAIN.

    What raid doesn't take TIME?
You had to farm shit for everything.

And remember the part where I asked if you played Aion?
Yeah I was trying to get a feel of an ACTUAL player, but you didn't play it
except having shit being bias and assumptions.

Like I said earlier, take off the Nostalgia Glasses, the game isn't like that anymore, leveling is so damn easy nowadays you can hit 60 in a couple days, then spend a little more time and hit 70 then 80, there is hardly any grinding involved compared to what Aion still has.

Considering how bad the economy is, mooching from my parents for a little work around the house is the only option I have, I'm not going to get a job just to have to give most of the cash away for rent and other bills, and seeing as I would have to move out to go to school, that isn'r an option, it would be wise to consider what is possible before telling me to something multiple times.

Also, I don't RP, I joined the server because I knew people on it and had the 3x Recruit-A-Friend EXP boost because of it, and you don't even know how good I am at the game, so don't go and judge my skill, you are no better than Seamen was with continuing to insult people.

And moving out of school? Didn't you just say you don't

Again with the "insults" can't believe you play WoW.
And I actually do know if you're good or not. Judging by the SHIT
you've been telling me I don't think you've reached far enough endgame

I feel sorry for your parents.
And didn't I say to end this thread? Are you that "insulted"?

Well just came on, before I went to WORK.
I bet your parents bought you WoW. Well have fun
