I would have to say my favorite course I have taken so far is Microbiology.

You are always learning about cool things and much of the information if useful and applicable to actual life things. The course labs are very hands on and you aren't just waiting chemicals to reach certain boiling points in order to collect them like in chemistry.

We get to harvest bacteria from ourselves like our mouths and ears and grow them on petri dishes and do a whole bunch of microscope and observational analyses. Playing with bunsen burners and micro pipetts and a whole ton of other things!

It also helps that my teacher is awesome.

p.s cell bio was also pretty cool.

In a past life I really enjoyed taking Behavioral Neuroscience and Behavioral Endocrinology. Understanding how chemicals affect the brain and how mental processes can shape brain chemistry. I learned how chemicals in our environment affect our development in the womb and can lead to such things as feminization of the male gonads. For example, the past hundred years or so, sperm counts in men have been in a steady decline with the introduction of certain chemicals that mimic estrogen into the environment.

    Psychology + biology = awesome

yay for plastics and men not being true men anymore!!

I bet the lack of need for tons of sperm has helped the whole situation as well. Without as many people being promiscuous even men with very low sperm counts can have as many children as people with extremely high therefore the guy with the most sperm isn't populating the world anymore like it was in the past.

I think my favorite course by far in Uni has been Cognition. I liked learning about the brain, the practical studies that have been applied [we watched videos on youtube about experiments], and overall I had a lax professor, so it was a nice class and I didn't dread going to it. What Cognition was like though was thinking about what you were thinking about... so sometimes it was kind of weird, but other times it was pretty neat. :p

I think all students need to take a Comparative Religion or Cultural Anthropology course. The idealist in me believes knowledge combats hate.

I think my most favorite class I took in UNH was Web Programming and Design.

:p Although I knew how to make web-sites already...I learned how to do coding I've never used before!

Shame I can't apply it to Neo though...since all teh filters are ARGH D:

Ah, I see. But, science, math, computer technology? All that is boring to me. I'm more of a liberal arts person.

Political science courses have always been entertaining to take, though I've never seen the use of them. Chemistry courses are interesting too.

I personally really liked my calculus course in uni except i'm not a ton good at math.
The stuff you can do is really cool though. I appreciated it but still didnt' have much of a desire to do it.

It was like looking at videos of deep sea diving and being like "woah that shit is really cool, but I do not really want to do it myself"

sociology and philosophy were both really interesting. Not much of a field to get into though.

I had a friend who went to uni and did those courses and he was really into them and proud of it but now he works at wal-mart. It is probably just him though :)

My friend is taking scuba diving. She said it counts as a gym credit, hmm.

You can also get your license for it by taking that class at the same time!

It sounded pretty cool to me. :p
