I know that they are usually for resellers, but is there any strategy to doing these? Start extremely low? Help appreciated :D

What I usually do is start mid-range so even if I only get 1 bid, I'll still make a good profit (my items are usually only ~300 k so it's not like a draik potion :o)

Most people just go for the "newest auctions" section and keep refreshing anyway, so set the time low. like 3 hours. The more it's in the newer auctions, the more people will see it

these are only for common items. If you have a high priced ETS, obviously change your settings accordingly :p

So always price a little above what you bought for?

Most resellers buy items that are high on trading post for really low but that people would be interested in like morphing potions, plushies or just high rarity items in general. Then they auction the items at a really low price but with a high increasement so the price rises very quickly towards the end when people are trying to 'snipe' the items. Most FAers get their friends / side accounts to bid early so jack up the price a bit so the final price is more profitable for them.

    I'll use an example:
    1. Reseller buys a r99 morphing potion that's on TP for 800k
    2. Reseller Auctions this item for 30k with 30k increasements [doing prime time to ensure the most bids]
    3. Reseller creates a board advertising.
    4. Reseller gets friends to bid early amongst themselves so the price jacks up.
    5. When the item gets into the 80 closest to finish in the Auction House and the 'snipers' get ready the price is already around 300k.
    6. The friends stop bidding and let the 'snipers' bid and try and make a nice profit.
    7. The item ends up selling for around 450k.
    8. The reseller makes a 200k profit on it [because he/she bought it super cheap earlier]

I get what you're trying to say with your explanation, but not with your example: how is 450k 200k profit of 800k? :S

I think that should not have been 800k, lolĀ

As for your question, I'd always start a little lower than the asked price to get people looking at your auction, not too low though because then you won't make profit.

Starting low is fine, but just make sure that you don't start TOO low. Some guy started with 10k for a draik egg thinking it would jack up

It went up to about 6 mil, and he lost a good 5 mil from that :S

And do you think it would be better to FA all my items at the same time?

I think he means that its valued at 800k on tp but restocked it for cheaper.

Probably. Maybe give them like a 5 minute difference so people can see them and still bid on them.

Most people like to leave a solid minute in between the FA. If there's a too bigger gap it's hard to advertise.

And I was trying to say that they buy the item for a lot cheaper because they are resellers. They only purchased the HTS morphing potion for 250k, even though it was 800k on the TP.

Morphing potions go exceptionally well in fun auctions as long as you priced them right.
