Is it really worth it? A few years ago when I played neo I used to hear the stock market being utilizied for NP quite often, but it seems less talked about now. My portfolio currently has two stocks rotting in it at -80.58%, in other words I paid almost 29k and if I were to sell right now I'd make a grand total of.. 5.4k. So you can see why I havent ventured back in a long time.

Neopets stocks do not go bankrupt (at least they haven't in several years, afaik) so as long as you're only paying 15np per stock you're pretty much guaranteed to never lose any money from them.

Keep buying at 15 NPs... by doing this you will diversify your portfolio by default... when you have a diversified portfolio, the odds of your prices going up increases greatly.

Well what I've heard from outside forums and friends and such is that Stocks is a game of patience. Apparently sometimes it takes months or years of holding stocks to get substantial profits. Look at MYNC for example! :o

The trick is to just keep buying everyday and build up that portfolio with heaps and heaps of shares. After awhile some stocks will increase and its up to you what percentage you want before you sell, but if your portfolio has so many different types it's unlikely for them to all be at a loss if you keep waiting otherwise there would be no purpose.

Yep, some stocks can take years to reach a good selling point. I'm very patient so my selling point is 80, and I sell stocks probably once every few months (ie, get 1-2 million NP every few months). But the NP was just gonna sit in my bank account anyway, so why not invest it? If you build up your portfolio enough it becomes almost like bank interest, less frequent but you get more NP. If I were to sell all my stocks today I'd have over 4 million NP.

    Totals: 165,000 2,475,000 3,196,000 +29.13%

    I'd say it's worth it.

I go for for 200% profit. So easy to get there if you have patience and just keep buying.

i usually start getting antsy in the 50s

ill usually unload half at 55, and the other half at 60, unless i want quick NP, i may sell the other half somewhere between 55-60

PersonallyI just go for the +100% index. buy at 15 and sell at 30. the stocks usually spike to 30 at least once a month, but normally only stay there for a day or so.

Quick question: Would it be better to buy 1000 of one 15 NP stock a day or like, 100 of 10 different stocks worth 15 NP, since you guys mentioned that a greater variety would be better?

I'm also confused about this. previously I'd just throw all my money into whatever stock I felt worked.

You should avoid small quantities. There's a really good guide and some good tools on the stock market at neodaq.com

I force myself to diversify. Whatever stocks are at 15 at the moment I'm buying get bought up equally.

The higher your variety, the more likely one of your stocks will spike.

Then again I've sold 250 shares before, but it's the same exact profit margin so it doesn't really matter to me. Just that I made a stock profit that day :3

    if got a general question:

it will be my first time to buy stocks so i dont know how much money i have to spend for it and what kinds are goodß
i follow these conversation and read a lot of numbers...but my mind wont understand...

what meens "ill usually unload half at 55, and the other half at 60, unless i want quick NP, i may sell the other half somewhere between 55-60" and "Totals: 165,000 2,475,000 3,196,000 +29.13%"

would someone be so kind and explain it to me?

i know that the stocks got higher and lower and when they have reached more than 50% higher than i bought it,it should sell it
but i know that there are some misterious processes i have never seen

    hope to find the answers

    Kalo :)

    if got a general question:

What a lot of people do is buy stocks at 15 np, wait until they reach a cetain point (say 30 np), and then sell. This can take a while though since the huge run-ups aren't that common and also you can only buy 1000 stocks per day so patience is important.

by buying at 15 np a share and selling at 60 i've made just under 6 mill in one year. I still have over 3 Mill invested. not to mention I have missed many many days of buying.
