Alrighty, a very trivial dispute we're having here. The childhood game, "Duck, Duck, ______"

From the Twin Cities, Minnesota, I was always taught Duck, Duck, Grey Duck.

Out of a small farm town in Wisconsin, my girlfriend was taught Duck, Duck, Goose.

Where are you from, and what fills the blank by you?

She's wrong. The girlfriend is always wrong and you're always right. Remember that, that's the key to a successful relationship.

But wth I never heard of grey duck? O_o
    Still tell her she's wrong.

Just add "let her tell it to the back of your hand" and you're set :p

But seriously, google autofill says duck duck goose.

I'd trust google above my gf too, don't worry about it.

It's a children's game. Why would you mess up the whole flow of the game by introducing a two-word element?

Keep it simple and monosyllabic with "duck, duck, goose" the way the rest of the country learned it.

ALTHOUGH if we start talking Grey Goose....

Yeah, google shows about 400,000 more hits for "goose", and Wiki says "grey duck in Minnesota". However, I did see "Grey Duck" above "Goose" for autofill. Was that just me?

That's just the google DNA origin system working there :p

o__o Thanks for pointing this out lol. I never even knew some people referred to it as "grey duck".

This will maybe make a good conversation. I also wonder why "passports" aren't actually called "portpasses", and why "Happy Hour" is called "Happy Hour".

Not that I can't/haven't been drinking. Just being able to do so without fear of a decent-sized ticket sounds kinda nice :p

Goose is the way I learned it. Why would an entire state say "grey duck" when everyone else seems to say "goose".. I think I'd ask someone who knows how the "Grey Duck" got implemented into the game and come back and let us know how it became a grey duck. (Or at least me lol)
