Has anyone happened to get lucky and paint their pet magma? Is there any way to increase the chances?
I visit just about everyday, and pretty often, but the guards never asleep.
Ive tried several theories, from collecting worms, to making the petpets, but nothing seems to work, and help would be greatly appreciated.

It's apparently account specific and therefore different for everyone. You have to check every ten minutes, for seven days to find out what time it's open to you, meaning it will be open to your account for ten minutes, during one specific hour, on one specific day of the week. My math might be wrong, but that's 1008 possible time slots.

Personally I don't have time to check so I don't worry about it.

I was lucky enough to click on the link one day, thinking "What's this?" and it said the guard was asleep and now my pet is Magma. I have no idea what benefit this has or anything haha.

The time is randomized once PER account.

On my account its always at 15:45, yours could be any other time.

To add onto this, once you do it there is a 7 day cooldown

Yup. pretty much, I think you could even use Check4Change.

forget that magma pool i cant ever get in there. i thought at first its cuz i didnt do the worm thing but then i did and still cant get in. so i gave up trying

I've been checking every 10 minutes or so for the past couple days (in bursts, of course)... I figure it'll be worth the wait, but it does get a little frustrating.

there are still so many "theses" how to get in

some say you have to create one of the petpets, others say you only have to look every 10 minutes to get out your time..and some say they cant go in even if they have a petpet created and had a look every 10 min *sigh*

i think its a random event, but most people say it is the fact,that you only have to find out "your" 10 minutes of the day, like scot say...
so dont give up and hold on refreshing!

ps: i have had luck,one day,it was very late, he was asleep and let me bath BUT i haven't noticed what time so i have to spend nights to find it out again ^^

I had the same thing happen. I clicked it once for my very first time and what do ya know... hes asleep. I would rather have my luck shifted towards the forgotten shore though
