Not sure for this but since you earn something it should be a big no-no

well there's one time TNT release a free NC item(not giftbox) but they said its ok to collect on side account

so im not sure about this

If you only use the free token then I'm sure it's okay because you don't gain any NP from it.

hm its always unsure what tnt want a not...the last times it was allowed to use the side accs as well but this game is a cmplete new thing so it could be different..

@weke: i really hope for the next too

But they should know people might transfer. So I think it will be safer after they clarify this in the Editorial

Yeah, I think people should hold off until TNT decides although if they didn't transfer it might be at least semi-safe. I just redeemed a few to see what the prizes were because I didn't want to wait.

I got one bg but I didn't like it very much. I Lol'ed at the Doughnut Wings which would definitely go with the raining doughnuts background.

I just came to the conclusion about the tokens
-No you are not allowed to play on your side-
Why ? Because they only gave out one token to one person each and they can be bought from the NC Mall item.

I mean, this is a cheating site, anyone could be frozen for programs at any time.

I think if some people wanted to transfer to their accounts where they don't cheat/or don't want to get frozen they want to make sure that TNT is okay with it. But there might be other reasons.

SN confirmed that they allow purchasing tokens on side accounts in the FAQs:

Can I purchase Tokens and play with them on my side accounts?
Yes, you can purchase JubJub Power Bounce Tokens and play the game on any of your (up to) four side accounts. But please remember that Neopians are only allowed up to five accounts each. Anything more than that is considered cheating. Tokens will either need to be purchased in your side accounts or will need to be gifted from the purchasing account using NC Gift Boxes.
