They took down a few of those sites, about 9 I think including Ninjavideo and movies-links.tv. Although none of the sites were reproducing or distributing copyrighted material (they just link to other sites) it didn't stop them taking them down. :/ It'll be interesting to see what happens if any of them go to court and defend it.

Well, I do know that ninjavideo was based out of NY..or rather a lot of staff lived there..so that might be the reason why..Thankfully Icefilms is still up!

surfthechannel.com is still up, I don't really know any others. I guarantee that just about all the sites which were taken down will be back up within the week. :p

As for the Court who knows..MiniNova was taken down for hosting torrents of music and films..but Ninja and those other sites just linked them...I doubt they will be back but maybe no legal ramifications for them..I.P. laws is getting a bit dangerous lately and plus the Feds use Interstate Commerce Clause for basically everything nowadays.

Yeah. Not illegal to link to illegal stuff... So far atleast.

All they have to do is honor DMCA notices....

Any idea why the Immigrations and Customs department seized the domain? Shouldn't the FBI or NYPD's cyber division take care of that?

I've been going through Ninjavideo withdrawal for the past few days. I watched tv shows and documentaries from there almost every day. It's been hard trying to find new sources for my favorite British shows--luckily I found a site with all the Doctor Who episodes :funone:
