I think only Ice Bori turn blue when you pound them. Unless they changed that. But for every other neopet, no.

As far as i know yes ice neopets become basic when pounded then again nobody wants to test that theory out. I've run an autoadopter from a different site for 3months never saw an ice neopet at all. So i believe the answer is yes they turn into basic colors

Magma pets turn red, probably because it is technically a free color or something. Idunno.

As for ice, I have no idea why it changes to a basic color.

The thing with Manga Painted Pets, they appear Manga when inside the Pound. However, as soon as you adopt them they turn into a plain Red. The annoying thing is, the one I adopted as a Manga was still called a Manga Pet, when I looked at its page. Although, after a thousand and one refresh clicks, it was a plain ol'red Pet. I imagine, as I talking from experiance... the same thing happens to an Ice Pet.

The thing is that Ice Bori were a special thing back during the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot. If you downloaded the Neopets Toolbar you could either adopt an Ice Bori or change one of your existing pets into one. At the time that was the only way to get a Bori at all.

Pretty sure only Ice Bori changes into basic color when pounded. Someone offered me adoption of her ice pet dropped her pet at the pound and I adopted it just fine

    1. Ice Boris turn blue when you POUND them because they were some special offer (from a toolbar?)
    2. All other ice pets are normal.

    3. Magma pets turn red when you POUND them.

You get magma pet for free but you have to know the exact time to enter the Magma Pool. I think there's a program/script here that alerts you to the time. You get about 7-10 minutes time frame to enter and paint your pet :shifty:

Ice Bori aren't special looking, so I can understand that. They were just the first Bori released and also the first ice pet released. The Ice Bruce, on the other hand, looks special but isn't any different from a normal ice pet. Aside from being a giant popsicle.

Anyone else think that the Ice and Relic pets are kind of reminiscent of the glass and stone ones that were retired for being "too boring" (their words, not mine).

Err . . . I pounded my ice Bori once and It turned blue someone else pounded their ice bruce and they said it turned blue so I'm pretty sure ice pets change color when they are pounded.
