So,did TNT started deleting old inactive accounts? I read somewhere that they will start on August 9..

It was supposed to happen on Aug 8. but I am not sure if the purge has already happened.

i heard the 9th too.. and i keep checking old accounts as well, along with my old pet names from iced accounts..id love to use them again haha, but they are all still there so who knows when it will be done. im just hoping soon

So does this mean people that havent used their accounts for ages, or old frozen accounts or both? Theres some names of pets id like back from my old frozen accounts, That would be pretty cool

from what i know, its definitly old accounts that havent been accessed in 2+ years. as for frozen accounts, im assuming the same.. ones that have been iced for 2+ years as well. but i dont really know. just hoping

They sure did, How very strange. i mean its got my first and second names on there so its deffinatly mine. Im goning to keep trying, Im raiding all my emails now for the password recovery

I allready got 3 6 year old accounts back from this

Was phoning round my broadband providers for old emails today lol how sad am i. No SuAP's though, just shells, and REALLY badly name Neopets, what the hell was i thinking???


Advice:

Go though all your email accounts that you can remember, check for an email saying that your account will be deleted, this giving you the old username.

Request password on old username, Note: there is a backlog in TNT for pass recovery (and pin) so expect your pass arround 24 hours later.

Acess your old accounts

(also if your lucky, check your Neofriends, for maybe old side accounts of your own that you used to add and try and guess their passwords/emails)



Remember, its not ALL really old unacessed accounts being delted, just those that were completley abondoned and hardly have anything on. Im guessing if you have millions on an old account somewhere you wont get the emailm only for ones you hardly used.

I had a neofriend who hadn't been on in over a year log on to keep her accounts, and I know for a fact it was just 1 year. So if your account has been idle for over a year, you may receive the email.

The email I got said around August 19th. I know that I will eagerly be awaiting the clearing of some of my old account names and pet names. Luckily they're probably not names people are going to take quickly, so I can just keep checking back every day or so.

So far august 13th is showing as the earliest but id just keep an eye out from now on, people started getting the emails a week or two ago, and still getting them now, so its on going, ive got accounts that were due to be deleted on the 19th and im sure others have later.
