i would prefer a medium sized dog which would be active like myself. prefer than he/she is capable of going on runs with me rather than be a door mat. I always liked dogs that you can actually play fetch with or something of that nature. you need to put medium in the poll..

I prefer all three, actually. I love big dogs. Especially when they jump on top of you on the couch. I used to have a Papillon that I bought at a pet store. Worst idea of my life! Never buy dogs/cats from a pet store.

I prefer cats because they're self sufficient. I like my snake more than cats though. He's very low maintenance.

The only small animal i've had that i've ever truly LOVED is my guinea pig.
When he whistles it's adorable and he's all chubby and looks like a mini cow

I've seen cat fights before. They weren't hot though so it sucked

But big dogs over small dogs any day. Small dogs bark too much, whilst big dogs can spend days being lazy with you

But since you asked what we picked and why I'll tell ya....I guess. I picked a big dog. I have had several little dogs and big dogs, and cats. And despite my nick name, I prefer dogs. I like to think housing, feeding, etc them should mean I get more cuddles then once a week. Lol. Plus I have two kiddos. Big dogs usually are more kid friendly. I had a rot that my son could sit on, jump on, pull/bite his ears. Anything he wanted and he would just lay there, not even a sad look on his face.

With that said I currently have a Shitzu/Jack Russel mix that my son adores and she has turned out to be quite the family pup. Lol. Soooooo toss up for me.

I personally prefer Medium to Toy sized dogs. I'll only have a huge dog if I live in the country, but I'm a city dweller so a small dog is perfect for that. I feel it's unfair that if you wanted the dogs to play in the yard and it's a huge dog they simply cant. :\ Only walks!
