I think it's time i start a supplement. I'm just getting so discouraged by not seeing a 6 pac after years of work and diet watching.

I was going to go with this:

Jack. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the posts though man. I was just so discouraged lately, I had hurt my knee and haven't been able to squat for weeks.

Without supplements the best results I ever had for abs came from a really terrible work out video my moms friend lent her called 12 minute abs. The key being your abs can be worked out every day and they respond most to the amount of time you work them rather than reps. It also focuses on working all of the individual ab muscles. Its really old but it has served me well for 10 years. 2 weeks easily will show results and in a month "packs" will be start to be defined.

It sounds like you work out regularly and probably know most of that but for someone who never diets, drinks as much as he wants, and does no weights or cardio that video alone has kept my abs looking good my whole life.

    p.s
While supplements are great for getting big muscles I think its better to slowly tone your muscles to get bigger rather than force feeding them protein. The problem being once you pour on all that muscle you have to maintain it forever. I have a lot of friends that got huge in highschool and college only to run out of time when they started working a lot. When all that bulk turns to fat its not a pretty thing. I'm not a nutritionist but in my experience "purely gained" bulk breaks down slower giving you a chance to shed it rather than it turning into flab.

I work out every other day. It really has got me size and weight but it didn't improve my abs. :( Didn't worsen them though.

What do you think of jack bob?

I don't know anything about jack bob.

If you really want to see results for your abs there isn't any reason not to do your ab work out every day. They are the only muscles in your body that can and should be worked out daily. I don't mean the weight ab machines though. 15 minutes of varying types of crunches will do the trick.

My favorite, once your abs are strong (this can hurt you if they aren't) is pushing your legs straight up in the air while crunching toward them. It works every single muscle in your abs. Remember to stretch after though or you're in for some pain. Also, its not really a crunch toward them. Just enough that you are holding your upper abdomen muscles tight.

Well its not called "jack bob" im asking bob (you) about jack :p
Jack-3D i think is the full name.

Thanks cody I think I do the exercises right it's just not working though. Haha I don't think I'll do the roids thing. I was thinking at 25 ill throw in the creatine if I haven't got the results I want by then. But the past few weeks ive been so discouraged in the gym that i missed a few days to play halo >_<

haha. I really don't know much about any suppliments other than watching my friends get ripped on them and then end up big fat guys a few years later.

I really don't think they would be the answer to abs though. They get you big but don't have much to do with definition.

Another trick you could try is based on most of the ab machines you see on tv. You need something that will roll that is balanced. If you are on all fours with rollers on your hands and at your knees, hold your abs tight, and pull your arms toward your legs and then back out its like super crunches because your bodies weight is being supported and moved by your ab muscles.

i know a lot of people who swear by jack3d, but personally i dont like buying "proprietary blends": find the active ingredient and buy that directly
Definitely take creatine (postworkout, 5g), though, that has been scientifically proven many times to improve gains
