I was thinking more along the lines of a close friend, or maybe even a trustworthy neighbor. I was also thinking infants or younger children, not a 10 year old. In most cases, if you're not going to be gone for long, leaving your 10 year old home alone is probably not that big of a deal.

I'm sorry to hear that. However, my boyfriend's sister was molested by her grandfather. These things can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter if it's a relative, friend OR a stranger.

But you can trust your parents. You've grown up with them and (hopefully) nothing has ever happened to you. I wouldn't even fully trust a sister or brother to watch over my children. This is also why I may never in my life have children. I'd be crazy overprotective.

I don't know about that. You can't trust anyone :p

I'm pretty sure grandparents wont eat their daughter/son 's child :)

If you can't trust anyone, it would be hard live in the world we are living right now :)

    I agree baby sitters suck.
It's not hard to live in today's world a lot of people I know manage it perfectly. The mom's not greedy for more money and doesn't ask to work. The dad brings the money and the important attention needed by a child is received and they grow up great.
My mom worked when I was little :( It sucked so bad.

Yeah, look at how you turned out. :(
    :p

I was raised by a single mother, so I don't know how important attention from daddy is. If we ever needed a babysitter, my grandma was there. Luckily, she didn't beat us too badly as infants.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Jerk :p

I think the attention from the mom is the important part. As a kid dads attention isn't much. Also mom skin to skin contact with their babies has found to have normal/good amounts of HGH. In kids without this contact they are low on HGH and don't mature emotionally as well as others. A study went something like that correct me if I'm wrong.

I've never had a child, but here in my opinion on babysitters; They're shit. Why for fuck's sake would you think it's safe to leave your children with a stranger? You teach your kids not to talk to stranger and then hire one to watch over the safety of your children. No one besides my father will ever watch over my baby besides myself, and here is exactly why:

ugh..I knew there was a reason why I kept posponing watching the videos.
seriously these people needs to be given harsher punishment.
anyway, there are some parents who might not be living in close proximity to their parents so making oma and opa baby sitters off the list.

I'm not sure why but I think teenaged babysitters are more trustworthy. Sometimes these older ones are full of angst and depression. In that first video she looks like the kind of depraved lowlife you'd see in a southern bar in Kentucky drinking her worries away. She doesn't have a lick of patience in her; she just wants the fucking money.

reply to noitidart: Shouldnt the cam be in the parents house, since most nannys babysit at the childrens home? They probably put it up themselves :o Or am I totally misunderstanding your question ?:p

Bleh, I know when I have children someday I will leave my children with TRUSTED FRIENDS/FAMILY. I would never leave my child with a stranger, even if the Nanny came from a respected agency or whatnot. From experience, my parents left me with a babysitter when I was a kid. She was such a b*tch, haha. She never let me have any fun at all. Then my parents left me with a daycare, even worse... eventually they left me at my uncles, which was x100 better.

A kid I was baby sitting came at me with a butchers knife. By kid I mean like 11, old enough to hurt me, and slightly crazy. Needless to say I smacked the shit out of him and didn't regret it. :p

The first video was made private. Anyway parents should stay by and tend to their babies at all times. If they don't even have time to look after their babies, why bother giving birth to them? Posted Image
