You can't trade Paint Brush items, you have to trade the whole clothed pet. You prob be better off trying to buy/trade for a BN/DN robo Kacheek, undress it, then pound it. ;)

Check spare clothing websites.
As long as you have an unclothed pet, you can get spare clothing for that paint for free from people on some pages. Ask on the PC or something.

If you have Chrome, just download auto refresh plus. You can set the refresh times as low as you want, and then check the battledome to see if he's showed up yet and you missed the RE. That's the easiest way...

Get a Tiger Salamander. They eventually recognize you, and will beg for food. I'm getting one in the spring when I let that salamander I found free.
