I don't disagree with you there Shrouded, I will say though 30-50k per season for an actor is at the bottom of the pay scale especially considering the popularity of it.

it is a pretty short season, and theres a huge cast. look at it in another angle, this show would increase the popularity of the actor, creating more opportunities for lead roles and endorsements.

The pay of the cast is not the reason. The producers have said that they just don't have the time to film more than 10 episodes worth of material every year. You do realise that they have to fly all over the world to film separate scenes...
