The artist dilemma. A problem experienced by Di Vinci to Warhol. Van Gough only had to contend with not selling art, while Rubin spent way more time selling than making. It seems to me that marrying a hard arse businessperson is one of the most elegant solutions. The downside is opposites don't attract.
