When the string of coding has the "?? ?? ??" in it what do I change it to O.o?
I've been trying to figure this out but I can't find a thread or any posts on it.
You dont need to worry about the ??'s. Just replace the top code with the bottom code.

Thank you.
Edit: Sure enough, everything's working like a charm now.

For example, for MC2,
this array is for red negg/tail/walls don't affect you, including the gravity mode:
9d 02 00 0d 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0a 04 01 08 ??
I search for the array and all that, try to change to the value of the top line to this:
99 02 00 0d 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0a 04 01 08 ??
I know you're supposed to change something of the array. But I'm confused on what to do.

So I'm having this "this is not Valid Notation" issue regarding the wild cards. I have searched this forum up and down for a clear and concise answer but I cannot find one.
I've just checked and that code is working, so you must be doing something wrong. We just need to figure out what.
Do codes that dont have a wilcard in them work for you?

Yes.
When I put the code that's listed to change the value, the way that it stands, I get the "this is not valid notation". I've read through different posts and you're supposed to change something of the 2nd array but I don't know what to change. That's what I'm confused about.

You dont need to change anything in the second code. What exactly are you trying to replace the first code with?
It should just be: 99 02 00 0d 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0a 04 01 08 ??
Without any changes.
Can you take a screenshot of CE when the error pops up?

I entered exactly what you said to enter for the 2nd code.
Do I have to change something within the first code?

No no, your top code is right, otherwise you wouldnt be getting those 6 values. And since you copy/pasted the exact second code from my post, that can't be wrong either >_<
Okay, try these:
9d 02 00 0D 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0A 04 01 08 08 --> 99 02 00 0D 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0A 04 01 08 08 9d 02 00 0D 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0A 04 01 08 06 --> 99 02 00 0D 00 96 08 00 04 01 08 0A 04 01 08 06

Thank you!!
Can't believe it was that simple. I felt like I tried that. Guess not!
I hope this will help others out that have the same problem though.
edit: just saw the post above me. I'll try that as well. I used the link that was posted in the forum.
edit 2: Okay. The newest version of the cheat engine allows wildcards/'??' within the value change. Thank you again, both of you, for your help!

EDIT: going by the posters below me, who I'll assume use windows, it doesn't seem like "just a mac" issue now, if it happens to windows computers too.

Exact same problem is happening to me and two of my friends as well.I've also had a problem with AoB and am not able to use it for any game. And I am fairly certain I am using the program correctly as having been using it for awhile now. Any ideas? I, like everyone else it seems, try to run it and get no results. I use Firefox and always have used Firefox. ;-/ Thanks

If you've just updated your flash player, the process you have to open is different now. Select "Flash Player Plug-In"
There's sometimes more than one so if the code doesn't show up try the next one.

Thanks, but as I still can't get it to work, I'm now safe to assume it's my mac computer. Oh well, the news said Windows 8 is going to be released in october, so I'll finally be able to use this in a couple months (as long as nothing else changes).

I know this is a question and help thread but I have tried Windows 8 with the beta. don't get it unless you have a touch screen. I didn't. I had to back up all my files and reinstall Windows 7. Was not fun.

96 08 00 04 01 08 11 04 01 08 0a ->
02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02
I will select the first code and put it in. Select array of bytes and make sure it says hex and click first scan and all I here is like a beep and no addresses come up. I have tried this on multiple games.
