ok, thanks for the addition, but there's one more thing. (Yes, I know, I have lots of problems).

The book list included is not very up-to-date because I just ran the program, and it bought a bunch of the recently retired books (like A Tale of Two Lupes) which are now pretty expensive (in the 10,000s). This is just a warning that it would be better if the list were updated again before you lose too many of your nps.

I'll look into updating it soon. (I just scraped the books from JNs DB last time, so I have to wait for their prices to update.)

I keep getting "Unable to load main program". I have my custom booklist set as books.txt and that's what I tell the program to load, along with a budget of 8500NPs.

Here's a question I didn't see an answer (may be blind)...


How does it determine which pet to read to? I've got four pets... will it read it to a specifically positioned pet, to the active pet, to a random pet?

Either way I'll make use of the buying portion of the program, thanks!

I got it working by being logged in to neopets when I started running it and using 20,000 as a budget.

How far does it get before it stops?

All it does after I put in amount is sit on "Checking items..." for about 5 cursor flashes then the error pops up.

I'm running it now. I'm logged in to the account I'm buying on in my browser and it's working fine at buying. Will comment again when the reading starts. 

Buying worked fine, failed when reading.

Basically, put the file and the booklist .txt file in the same directory - when it asks for the name type out "books" or whatever you call the .txt file (i believe the default is "books")

It purchased books on my book list just fine - I only tested it with the cheapest books I need but it bought 48 of them and then had the error. Even if I had to read manually (which I did for those 48), it's a lot faster than finding the books myself!

I'm confused, I ran it & I put book list as "books" & it said it could not load main program.

This is a great program, but I'm having some issues:

- Won't work for me unless inventory is completely empty

- Will never read books...but buys them fine

- If it goes beyond the budget, it just stops instead of reading the books (which yea)

 

Seems like these issues aren't specific to me so I hope you might find the time to update appropriately

for books.

 

i am having the same error.

it tells me reading books then says reading boring books then goes back to buying but my inventory is still full.

maybe its the premium bar? trying to remove that now.

Edit: no change with the premium bar on or off.

 

now i'm getting the un able to load main program error

Edit: i believe i got that error because i reran the program and my inventory was full to start of.

 

right now i do keep getting

bought "apple bobbing Bart: a biography"

and

the rock pool and you: your guide to mystery island petpets

both items i have already read, but it keeps buying them lol.

 

still no luck on getting the books to be read in the program.

right now it just cuts out 2/3 the leg work. all i do is read them and change language read.

it also seems to buy two items every time that are not books.

I couldn't find a solution either - also had the same problem of rebuying apple bobbing bart (colons man). Seems like some problems just inherent to the program as it currently is I guess, but I look forward to an update!
