My settings atm are:

Refresh: 4-7
Pre-Haggle: .4-.5
OCR: .4-.5

My interenet is pretty fast. Good connection and everything. However I live in Australia (so I'm pretty far away from the servers I guess)

My buy times are usually around 2100-2700, so while I get some stuff, I probably miss 80-90% of things if there is a bit of competition.

So my question is, will lowering these even further reduce my buy times? And how low is it safe to do so? Do TNT look at buy time purely in terms of the buy speeds or do they see things like inhuman reactions in the OCR/pre-haggle?

Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

Since you live in Australia, it will be harder to get lower buy times due to the fact you're so far away from the servers in the US. You can lower your times gradually and see if that helps. If you notice that your times are getting down around the 1500-1700ms mark, that should be sufficient to get SOME buys at least. Of course, you won't get a lot of big ticket items but I managed alright with buy times ranging between those above (obviously I'm in Oz too).

I'm pretty sure they just look at the overall speed it takes to buy the item, then if need be they may look into it further if they notice unusually fast times.

Hope that helped and good luck! Don't get too greedy though ;)

I live in Oz as well, and i have buy times of over 4 seconds and I do fine. For items with really big profit margins, I rarely ever get them, but for items with medium/decent profit margins, I do alright. I would try restocking manually and see what your actual speeds are like and then adjust your settings to around that.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I have been getting some good stuff with those buy times, but I generally miss all the big ones.

For timing myself manually, is it from first clicking on the item to getting to the bought screen that Abrosia records? I might try that later.

Well that's the learning process :)
I've had times as low as 900ms in the main shops and I'm still not frozen, iust stay out of magic and you'll be fine.
Buy times are actually not as big a factor in getting you frozen for AB'ing as you would think.

Buy times won't get you frozen unless the system has changed in the past 5 months.

I'm sure Rob said in a thread before that TNT looks more at the refresh rates and time spent in shop rather than buy times...
I could be wrong though.

What an excellent memory Mew. I have accounts with buys in chocolate/bakery under 600ms, possibly under 500ms, that are still unfrozen and kinda active.

Managed to get something then, dropped prehag by 0.4-0.6(Was 0.7) and the OCR to 0.9-1.1(Was 1.1-1.4) Still missing out on alot of things though

Today is probably just extra competitive, I wouldn't worry about it too much :p. I find it easier to restock after 7pm, buy times are often very irrelevant then (I've gotten 90k profits with 3000-3500ms buy times :p).

2012-10-04 20:32:44 - Bought XXX: 9324 NP in 2937ms (Est. Profit: 590486 NP)

These are an example of the sorts of buy times I get at night time. Our Wifi can be slower at night because that's the peak traffic time in our household. A good way to offset this is by picking shops that don't have many visiters. If I AB during the middle of the day/afternoon, my times are a lot better and can sometimes get down to 2100 on average (which you should be able to get some good stuff with that. This was over a period of about 30 minutes (it's not always this great, sometimes I might only get 1 or 2 things in an hour... just luck I guess :)).

Hope this helps :p

Hi, I dont know where to ask this but am I at a high risk of being frozen? I know its been said that under 500ms is okay but I bought items at 200ish ms and its making me uneasy.
Is there anyone else with a similar experience?

I dont want to post too many details and I dont want to go around bugging people either /:

That's actually normal for the igloo. As with the attic, the igloo has no haggle screen so all you need to do is hit enter when you want to buy something, so it cuts down on the time needed to buy something. That's why buy times are much faster in the attic and igloo.

I've had buy times like that before in the Igloo.
