What happens if im missing a list and my aber automatically goes to the shop with no list? Will it not buy anything or will it use the codex database? Also is the database more trustworthy than jellyneo?

If you try to ab with manual list and you forget to import a list, abrosia wont start.

They should all work. Some might have out of date items, you can just weed them out. I think battle is also kinda risky. But basically don't do stupid refresh times/length of autobuying then you should be fine.

I am not an advanced member so the best time I can set is 8 seconds which is not that bad. I wonder are there lots of ABer at the "risky" stores so if I go there without increasing speed, can I still get stuffs?

They're risky because they give lots of really good items. A lot of people legit restock/autobuy in these shops, so the shops are getting cleared which means better restocks, but now you have to compete for those better restocks with 5 times more people. You can definitely get good items, it'll just take time and being smart ;)

Oh okay, thanks that is really helpful. I am restocking at bakery now. Where do you restock at and do you use your own list?

If you wanna update your manual lists, look for items in that shop on jellyneo and sort by release date, that should give you the new items since the list was added.

I've lurked and abused the help here for ages, time to give back. I'm willing to make any lists people may need. Please include desired profit range, specific shop ID, and whether you would like UB's.

I'm new to ab-ing. Can someone enlighten me the difference using a list as compared to the default item database method in ABrosia?

Regular members use lists to choose their shops because only advanced and above can choose their shops without a list. Sometimes people may want Abrosia to buy certain items and not others so they compile a list to use for that.
Using a list may be faster than using the database (or so I've heard. I don't use lists).

@Satsuki By just using a test list with every morphing potion currently available, I was able to buy a junk item + a UB MP about 200ms quicker than normal.

This is to be expected, there is (probably) less work involved checking a user-defined list.

I have no idea how the database system works, but from what I can gather it seems like the checking of the online database + checking if the profit is above the set limit would take longer than scanning a preloaded list.

I'm speculating (hopefully successfully @ShadowLink64 ) that Abrosia doesn't request the item database every time it refreshes in a shop (this would be far too slow), it requests item data at startup and then subsequent refreshes are checked against this already-downloaded (cached) data.

The reason using a manual list is quicker is probably just because the list is shorter :)

From a programming perspective, It's worth mentioning that 200ms is a very considerable difference when talking about comparing 2 lists of strings, so I wonder what else might be happening under the hood.  O_o
