So I just have a question for those who have used the Abrosia program for longer than I have, & I ask this out of safety for my account. I've read mixed reviews on people who are on Neopets while Abrosia is running, while others say not to open neopets in your browser while Abrosia is running. What's odd is that now that I'm using the program for ABing...I actually have time to do other stuff haha. I want to just leisurely play pyramids or solitaire, or even just try restocking in a slightly slower store just to have something to do. Restocking was what I did while playing Neopets, but since I was never that good at being quick, the program has helped me actually get stuff I wanted before.
Do you think it would be wise or safe for me to do this? Or do I run the risk of getting iced? I don't want to since I've had the account for 17 months, & I hardly use my side accounts (since again, don't want to get iced & I don't want to deal with proxy stuff to be able to use them), so any advice would be welcomed I'm a newbie with using the Abrosia program & knowing what is safe to do, though since I restock in more than one shop at a time...I just don't know what seems more 'human like'.

You'll find yourself getting logged out quite a bit. It's kind of annoying. Especially if you play flash games while Abrosia is running, the scores won't send. It might be worth using your sides to play games whilst it's running. 

 

Maybe work on a legit side for if the worst should happen

Generally it's considered not to be a good idea to be on neopets while Abrosia is running. It will log you out, and it looks a bit odd for someone to be browsing the site while restocking at the same time. (Or playing a game). Since you don't wish to be iced, I wouldn't do it. I find other things to do when I have Abrosia running, like being on deviantart, reading...

Thanks for the replies. Yea, I was thinking going to a side account, but they share the same IP address, right? So...that makes it look odd as well. I mean I switch between the accounts all the time in the past & was never iced for having multiples & not using a proxy server (since I didn't really care anyway). But I might do that. I stop the AB every now & then to play something so...maybe that works better.

Sorry if this sounds insanely...'noob'ish, but what's a shell? I know what proxys are & how to use them (I'm just too lazy to sign up on any of the sites, & don't want to pay for one either), but I didn't know what a shell was. I have a side account but I wasn't sure if that's what you meant XD

Yea that may be what I'll do. I think I saw a list of sites that offer proxys on one of the tutorials for Abrosia, I just don't want to have to pay for one. I'm sure there are free ones out there, somewhere XD

It's just an account you wont be using as a side. If you start ABing on sides associated with your main, on the same IP, there's a chance of getting frozen for making nps on multiple accounts

Well that makes sense. I guess I will have to get a proxy server then for the shell. I mean I have plenty of NPS already on my main, I'm just trying to make some extra for PBs & stuff, so I may do this with one of my really unused sides. Since it's already created & everything X3

Oh, i'll just add this question in here instead of making an entirely new thread.

I figured out how to get a proxy to work in Abrosia, so I'm using one of my old accounts as a shell for ABing while keeping my main open to mess around with in the mean time. Does anyone have any advice in how to transfer the items earned from my shell to my main? Would I need to enter a proxy into my browser for that account, then get rid of it when I'm logging into my main? Sorry for all of the questions XD I never worried in the past but I mainly earned NPS from games/random items that I sold. I always just put items into the TP & used my main to buy them. Probably looks more than sketchy but eh.

You need to make sure you don't use the proxy to sign in to your main.

I don't think it would look odd if you're browsing the site while ABing/RSing. There are chat boards dedicated to rsing and chatting at the same time, and it actually does lend some sort of legitimacy to your account. So long as your rf rates aren't like 3 seconds - 5 seconds, I personally think it helps while you're abing.

But if anyone ever looks into your account and they see you're typing or refreshing at the chat board while also restocking some UBs...Iceland.. You can't type prices in on one page and refresh on another at the same time

I highly recommend not doing this. There are several reasons, but mainly now whatever you bought with that shell is "contaminated" by having already been connected with your main account(since they were both your accounts at one time I'm assuming). You need to create the new account on the proxy so it is not connected in anyway to your other accounts, or else any transfers will always be a chance for a freezing.

They'd probably chalk it down to latency. When I don't use Abrosia, I used a browser ABer and I chat on the boards as well, and I haven't been frozen yet. It doesn't seem suspicious to me at all, really. RSing a UB takes all of 1 or 2 seconds. Refreshing once on a board then quickly switching to a shop tab is believable.
