With the new wave of gaming consoles on its way knowing the pros and cons of each is always beneficial to the consumer. Which of the new generation consoles will you be getting?
 
The best source I can find for comparison overviews is the IGN PS4 vs. Xbox One vs. Wii U Comparison Chart it is no surprise after looking that over that CBS reports that Microsoft hands Sony a big win. Finally the USA Today outlines the three top reasons to go with PS4 over Xbox One and then the three top reasons to go with Xbox One over PS4 in their article Three arguments for each console.

 

Which will win? You decide!

My thoughts exactly, Microsoft have not just shot themselves in the foot with this release, they've pretty much blown both legs off. PS4 seems to have all the right options for the end user from what I've heard, so I will look into purchasing one eventually. I still have my XBOX 360 for my old games.

Wii U is just the Wii with an awful tablet that ruins multiplayer, and Xbox One... yeah. But I'm getting a 3DS before anything else.

Ps4 when the eventual "slim" version comes out.

nintendo 3dsxl instead of wii U.

Once FFXV and KH3 come out, I'll probably pick up a PS4. I'm a lot more eager to get a 3DS though, it's shaping up to have a fantastic roster of games.

Also, I heard someone mention SotC II (purely speculatively), but even the slightest possibility of that happening would be enough for me to buy a PS4. Team Ico is supposed to be working on The Last Guardian, but that's been going on for ~5 years now...

Oh well, there's always next decade... hopefully the 360 doesn't turn out to be the last usable console by Microsoft.
