I believe in both creation and evolution, in that while everything was created by God, stuff has and does evolve for whatever reason, and I could probably find proof of that if I looked

Nothing is inherently valuable.
Not strictly speaking. I sacrificed a little precision for the sake of brevity.

Well, you'd certainly find *evidence that all living species have evolved. You would not find evidence that everything was created by God.

By the third time, it's probably not funny any more.

You are basically reiterating what I said in my post xD

I accept evolution as a fact, but I just don't think there's anything wrong with people thinking or believing differently.

That is definitely not what your post said.

Which part?
Your sentence stated that you could probably find proof that everything was created by God, if you tried.

I was intending to convey that I could probably find proof that evolution has occurred, as in I could go out to my backyard or read an encyclopaedia full of facts concerning the subject matter. My belief that everything is created by God is simply my belief, and not factual, as it could be considered that there is no evidence. I probably should have used another full stop or something in the original post

Thanks for clarifying.
I'm interested in why you chose to say "could be considered that there is no evidence" for everything being created by God.

You're welcome
I guess if one took the Bible literally, one could choose to believe that it provides evidence of things that actually happened. Although it's still not factual, because one could not actually prove that they happened.

No books are scientific evidence (excepting for a very limited subset of things directly related to actual books, and probably anthropology). So yes, you could choose to believe that it provides evidence for creation. But you would be absolutely wrong.

What about the books/manuscripts written by ancient Romans and Greeks? They're still considered as evidence, even though it is not scientific. And what's wrong with being wrong?

The books/manuscripts written by ancient Romans and Greeks are not considered evidence for scientific principles.
And being wrong is fine. Unless you start insisting that your wrongness is right.

If you don't, here is the most basic argument to support it.
Name something in this world that will always and forever remain 100% completely unchanged.
You can't EVERYTHING changes over time, period.
