My life has been crazy and hectic, but I'm slowly starting to get things back on track. I'm now 26 years old, and not much ahead of where I was 3 or 4 years ago... So I've decided to kick things up a notch. It all started with stopping my hippie antics and getting a jerb... But 40 hours a week is soul-crushing, so I found an outlet in standup comedy. I started doing open mics for a few months... Jesus Christ, my first time on stage was such a bomb... But after a while I developed somewhat, enough to catch the attention of a producer, so I started booking actual shows. I've since gotten another producer, and while I can't quit my dayjob yet... I figure its only a matter of time until I catch an agent's eye...
But I'm sure there are plenty of insanely talented comedians (plenty moreso than myself) that went to their grave with exactly that thought. So I started producing some Let's Plays. People say that market is crowded, well, what about podcasts? what about standup comedians? what about white guys with guitars? lol. Every market is fucking crowded, and the only way to ever make anything happen is to step up and start DOING. Everytime something is completed, I find that I've learned something new about the process. I'm not sure where it will take me, if anywhere... But it's just kind of nice to know I can wake up in the morning with a point to my day.
With that said, I'll make it a point to stir some activity up around here.
And now; enjoy some youtube plugs!
My very first "booked" standup:
A year later... Still going strong:
Lots of super long Lets Plays... Here's a shortie but a goodie:
My Lets Play Channel:
Been at it maybe a little over two weeks, but I scraped together 4 subs... Which isn't too bad in a market that's supposedly crowded. I will scrape out my niche yet.
See ya 'round the boards, folks. *vanish*
