Just assume in general, like the majority of them, whether that means medicated to you or not medicated.

Being in a healthcare profession, I've unfortunately seen the gaps in knowledge/acceptance regarding people with psychiatric illnesses. I fully support any measures that aim to educate the general population!

Is this a public perception analysis to see if there needs to be a push for Schizophrenia Awareness?

It's about stigma and how accepted schizophrenics are in society and talks about the lack of awareness and false interpretations of what the disorder actually is, based on a number of causes. I'm trying to say it indirectly leads to less research being put into it because its not something society is too worried about and there is a lack of donations for the cause in comparison with other research funds like various cancers buuut those are more common ofc and people are generally more aware of cancer so theyre willing to donate for research and such

So much awareness for other mentally ill people, like the gays...

 

But everyone ignores schizophrenics.

 

Probably because they're scared of being stabbed.
