Does anyone else here listen to K-pop?

I'm so ronery.

Or maybe C-pop/J-pop?

I used to be a crazy fan in high school, but now I just follow somewhat casually. This is my equivalent of an anime obsession for some of you out there :p.

~~~~~
I guess I'll make some questions to start us off. We can also discuss comebacks and such later on.
Questions:
1. How did you find out about K-pop(C-pop/J-pop)?
2. Favorite groups/artists/members.
3. Your journey. (I've been through many phases, idk about you guys)
4. Anything else you want to mention.
Glossary:
(Sorry if it's overwhelming, don't worry about it. This is for people just getting into K-pop or confused by the terms that may show up in this thread.)
Spoiler
Feel free to correct me or add suggestions, I don't actually know Korean.
Fun Links:
Have anything else fun to add? Let me know! :)
Here's me:
1. How did you find out about K-pop(C-pop/J-pop)?
J-Pop: Anime then Tokusatsu openings
K-Pop: College Film & Lit classes - professor was the same for a lot of my senior and graduate school courses. he was originally from Korea so his big thing is incorporating Asian culture, history, and pop culture into his courses (which is what I loved so much about them). Some of my favorite assignments included listening to several bands he chose, and we'd write a review over them.
2. Favorite groups/artists/members.
AAA, Hatsune Miku, Anna Tsuchiya, Kamen Rider Girls, AKB48, Momoiro Clover Z
3. Your journey. (I've been through many phases, idk about you guys)
:lol2:
4. Anything else you want to mention.
Yes. No. Uh... Time not space. No, I don't know what you're talking about.
I know only a bit about J-pop because of allkpop/tokyohive and anime. My friend from high school who's obsessed with anime tried to introduce me to more J-pop but it just didn't click haha. I do know Hatsune Miku, AKB48, and heard of Momoiro Clover Z. I'm not sure if this is J-pop, but I really liked the song Arigato by Flow.
1. I heard about J-POP and K-POP  by mistakenly coming across it while looking for Sailor Moon Songs in English. :p
2.  I like S.E.S. (I'm oldschool.)  Bada was my favorite.
3. I've gone through transitions when I'd get tired of K-POP and listen to J-POP, vice versa for J-POP.  Still going through it today. XD
1. Kpop was HUGE when I was in high school. It started with Wonder Girls' Nobody & then came Boys Before Flowers & it suddenly just blew up. Everyone in my school was into Korean dramas & Kpop. I got caught up in it too! ;D
2. 2NE1, obviously ahaha.
3. You get invested in these idols but eventually, things happen or they break up. I've been through this cycle a few times & frankly, I'm pretty tired of keeping up with that. I do still enjoy some good Korean songs but I've learnt not to be too invested in the idols themselves.
4. I currently enjoy J-pop/anime songs more.
Throwing it way back haha. I've only heard of groups like S.E.S. and Fin.K.L during Korean variety shows. I should listen to them and see what K-pop was like back then.
High school seems like the best time for K-pop haha. So true, I feel like a lot of bad things happened to groups in 2014. Good thing I'm not too obsessed with it or I would've been devastated by the leaving of Jessica or the things other groups went through.
1. How did you find out about K-pop(C-pop/J-pop)?
I first got in touch with J-pop thanks to watching a lot of anime. I thought certain songs were quirky and I wanted to sing along with them XD Then C-pop followed because I had a Chinese step mother (it wasn't as awesome as it sounds, she was a bitch) who often listened to Chinese music : ) I got into that for the same reason I get into other music. I like catchy songs, no matter what language. I love good music; music that makes me laugh, smile, cry. Just everything that gets some sort of emotion out of me. Then K-pop, I discovered that during my trip in China when I was 17. There was a lot of it on the radio. I never got into it like I did with J-pop and even C-pop though. Although there is one artist I'll list below that I'm absolutely crazy about!
2. Favorite groups/artists/members.
K-pop: IU!!!! I love her, she's so cute, she sings really beautifully. You could say I have a girl-crush on her XD
J-pop/rock : Hikaru Utada, BoA, Gackt, Nana Mizuki,
C-pop: other than Jay Chou I really don't know any names ^^'
3. Your journey. (I've been through many phases, idk about you guys)
My first phase of these categories was definitely anime. Then I got really into Gackt, and then there was a time I was super into Hey! Say! Jump! lol
I've also been into Jimmy Lin and his music thanks to the Chinese series My Lucky Star which I discovered while in China : D Even though I couldn't understand a single word of it haha. But I was happy to find subbed videos of it when I was back home!
4. Anything else you want to mention.
Not really : p
Man this is an old thread but here I am!
1. How did you find out about K-pop(C-pop/J-pop)?
My classmates. They were obsessed with it and I got on the bandwagon too.
2. Favorite groups/artists/members.
I'm SM-biased, currently crazy over EXO's Kai. Second in line is Sehun. Looks like I'll be getting into NCT too...
3. Your journey.
I began with watching K-drama and that was probably the introduction to the Korean culture. After that my friends got into k-pop and I got influenced too. I've been liking k-pop for about 7 years now.
4. Anything else you want to mention.
Nope.
