It seems as if there is a new avatar that will be released soon, related to the recently released game AAA's Revenge:

The requirements are unknown, but thanks to mr_d666 we know it's obtained when submitting your score in AAA's Revenge. It seems that if you do have the opportunity to receive it, you'll get an error message saying the avatar does not exist as of posting.

 Why? I'm so lame with SS. Does it mean there won't be any AOB for the game neither?

Because SS/AoB only works with flash games (you can't SS/AoB shockwave games for example).

Why hasn't there been a new avatar with a static image for such a long time?

Asking the right questions here! I love the older avatars that didn't have as much animation to them.
This avatar feels.. Rushed. Not a big fan of it, wish they would come out with some new item related avatars.

So far my highest score is 22 but I am addicted to the game! Playing it just for fun now because I want that avatar!

Two people have gotten that have said something on the boards. Both of them scored 1,000 points and received the avv. soI'd say its safe to say the needed score is around 1,000.
