Hi, i'm M~  I started playing neopets in 2003, and left around 2008 and just been going off and on, throughout the years, until my main account got hacked. But I didn't really feel like starting over from scratch, so a few searches on google, and here I am. So... hello.   
Also, I downloaded the neocodex program manager, and am not looking to AB (atleast not yet). just want to use it for the pound, and avatars right now, would I need a proxy for that, or is it good to just enter neo login information, and let it run? Thanks ~!

Welcome to codex!

It's fine to just let the program run if you're only using one account on it. A proxy is always best, to help make sure you don't get IP banned, but it's alright to not use one with just one account. If you were using multiple ones, then a proxy would be a must! A proxy is always safer, but not always a must with just a single account. Since you're not ABing, just pounding and avatar searching, it's quite a bit safer.
