Go to the gypsy camp to get Mallum in the BD and the weapon to beat him. 2 new achievements, 1 for beating him and 1 for beating him on hard.

Do you realize that Mallum is equipped with the Wand of the Dark Faerie?  Wow.

Malum on hard mode is pretty difficult, I probably should have trained my pets ever. The prize for hard is quite good - it's an album item (again)

 

Beat him on any difficulty: Malum Bobblehead

Beat him on hard: Evil Evil Coconut

 

Neopets is lagging too hard for me to use the battledome at all for the moment. RIP

Little disappointed in a BD based plot I can still OHKO the enemy on hard without taking any damage. Guess I didn't need to spend nearly as much time leveling my pet as I did.

So, um, as a rejoined newbie I have real bad stats and can't possibly beat Malum at Level 25,and other stuff at 40-something. Any advice?

Oh good idea. I should be able to manage - just - if I get a lucky run with that.

 

I nearly had it last time, got him down to enough health I would have killed him the last turn.... when he took off more than 1/3 of my health in one go. That I was not expecting

The Thick Smoke Bomb and Jade Elixir are really not that expensive,  prices have barely budged up.
