HELP!! Can't use Abrosia

Have been using Abrosia without any issues and it worked fine yesterday, but when I tried to login today I kept getting "ERROR: Login failed" message. I tried a few fixes I found in forums but nothing worked so decided to uninstall and reinstall the program. Hasn't made any difference

 

Downloaded it, but when I went to install my computer threw up this message:

 

This app can't run on your PC

To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher

 

Why is this happening??!!

Try to loginto the account from your browser to make sure its not frozen and your typing the password correctly.

That was the first thing I did. It's nothing to do with my neopets account. And yes I was putting in pw correctly

What type of system and os are you using on your computer?

 

Have you tried to run it as an admin? Do you have antivirus, try whitelisting the program manager.

Just Windows 10

 

Running as admin and whitelisting make no difference

Are you using Windows 10 as well?

Yep, windows 10. Everything was working smoothly for the past couple weeks. I've run it in admin mode, tried logging into different Neo accounts... no luck

Just an update, I have been able to reinstall the program manager. Like a numbskull, I had been clicking on the wrong file.

Glad that part got fixed.

 

Nothing has changed on our end, so it seems neopets has updated something. We'll try and fix it, but it might take a bit with the site still having issues, I'll let you know.

Wow I hope this is fixable. I wonder if it's just glitches or Neo is patching things to stop us. ohmy.png Neocodex and Neopets both seem to be having tons of issues lately.

I just learned that neo is in the process of migrating to a new hosting service that may or may not include server-side javascript injection, which serves as DDoS protection and also blocks automated scripts/scrapers from runnng on the site.  I also heard rumors about a third party collecting data on neo users to determine if your legit or a robot with each page load.  This info is just gathered from reddit so take it with a grain of sale but I would be wary about running any scripts until the dust settles.

Is it bad if we've tried logging in with abrosia?

Once might be ok, but please do not attempt to use the manager at all right now.

I won't use it right now, but I have tried logging in several times uninstalling and reinstalling and whatnot thinking it was an issue on my side..this sounds bad :(

Based off the reddit, the whole neopets site is having glitches, so it may be that they chock the logins up to glitches. It's difficult to say how many is ok.

Could you provide any more details on what actually happened? Someone said TNT broke the manager? Can they somehow track the logins?

Basically TNT's trying to update the neopets server as well as adding a javascript injection which would help prevent DDOS, but also ends up blocking automated scripts/scrapers from being run. The javascript injection also runs tests to determine if it's an actual user or something like automated traffic.

It's running browser checks it seems, so it's checking the browser and version used to access the site.

I can't say if it's directly tracking logins but it does appear to be at least checking browsers and such. 

 

The manager basically has to be updated when neopets updates things like this, which is what we mean when we say they broke it. (That was said by Kway, who's one of our programmers).
