No you told him to keep his opinions to himself, as in you didn't want to hear it.

I didn't tell him at all....it was more of a suggestion. Are you fishing for an argument or something.

You know a lot of people will be offended by what he said and therefore it is best he keeps it to himself. I fully understand free speech and all that crap (which is probably what you would say next)...but it is you and the other mods who will have to deal with all the warnings being given out after the flame fest.

Firstly, it's actually really difficult for a woman to transmit AIDS to a guy. Probably some bullshit excuse from the guy to justify the behaviour.

I think the "don't hit girls" thing is like a remainder of our chivalry past. Even though millions of people fight and promote equality they still think it's wrong to hit a girl but not a guy. It's one of those societal things that people just go along with...

LOL
he got his ass whooped.

and that *don't hit girls* is like a bunch of BS, because especially today, there are some girls who can hand the smackdown on a guy....which is why I got my motto..."I don't hit girls, true, but I will hit a bitch"

I'd definitely move the guy out of the way at least, maybe whack him once or twice...man

I don't know about you guys...but I'd jump in a lot of fights for strangers....after a quick analysis of the situation at hand of course...maybe I'm just a goody two shoes *despite being able to be the exact opposite at most times*

Actually, many take the stance of you don't hit those who are not as capable of defending themselves. Usually this is the woman in a relationship even if they are emotionally weaker, but not weaker in strength. In domestic violence usually the vicitm is has both emtionally and physically weaker, but not necessarily both.
If there was a rather large woman who beat up her weaker partner, some (not all, but myself included) would see that as wrong and should be stopped.

I agree with you on that =]

Lmao. Ok then. Would you rather I lied to you? Or just point out that your opinions on violence are frowned upon.

I can say that because you said it Hazard.
"Most people wouldnt do nothing if they saw a girl getting beat up by her boyfriend, firstly because its non of your business secondly because you dont know the full story (some girls deserve that shit) and third because he might knock the fuck out of you lol"
Are you disputing that you said this?

I'm telling you because, you said just before, that the reason your brother's neighbour was beating up his wife was because she gave him AIDS. I'm saying that's unlikely because it's quite difficult to do so through sex. You stated something unlikely, so I replied.

You're right, I do have a problem with people like you who support violence against women. I think your distinct lack of spelling and grammar makes it difficult for me to have any respect for you.

Kitsune i didnt say, i didnt say that, i said it wasnt my own opinion, i was just giving reasons why most people wouldnt jump into that situation. And because it is hard for a women to give AIDS doesnt mean it didnt happen wink.gif

As i have said before i apologise for my spelling and grammar i have dyslexia which makes it a little difficult for me,plus its like 2.30 in the morning here, but i do try to make sense of what i type

I won't jump to a conclusion because I haven't seen what was happening before. Maybe the girl deserved it...

Edit: since this site is full of idiots that jump to conclusions. I do not, in anyway, condone violence against women. I'm just saying let's hear the whole story first.

Ok, I gotta back you up on this one...

"In all fairness. If you would hit a man for doing something, you should hit a woman too. I know it is an unpopular belief, but it is about equality. The purpose of gender equality is to take the person's sex out of the equation. Doing so, if you would hit one person for something, you should hit another for the same thing.

The concept of not hitting women is a sexist belief indoctrinated upon men from a young age on. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't hit a woman unless it was legitimate self-defense, but I wouldn't hit a man unless it was either. It is a case of positive discrimination to baby women because you don't think they can handle what a man can."

Taken from the site provided. I'd never hit a women of course, but... idk, it just seems so sexist and wrong to say a guy hitting a girl deserves to get laid out when a girl hitting a girl is acceptable as is a girl hitting a guy, at least to a far greater extent.

Maybe the guy really did deserve it... but what if he didn't? Eh... sad.gif

EDIT: These topics make me so sad and I have no clue as to why xD Also, the idea of hitting a girl kind of makes me sick... but for argument's sake I'm forced to take that stand. That, plus I really am an advocate of a more complete equality. Hehehe! smile.gif

Equality is great but if you use it to rationalize hitting a woman because you'd hit a man for doing the same thing then 'ur doin it wrong'.

I realize you're trying to see both sides, I don't think that there is ANY reason for a man to hit a woman. PERIOD. No one, and I mean NO ONE, deserves to be struck for something. Especially in public.

The guy was asking for trouble, and he got it.

I agree except that it is just as bad in public than it is in private, if not worse. Unless some woman has a gun to me and is going to try and kill me, I dont see any reason you should ever hit a girl. I don't see it as chivilry or something that was forced on me, I just don't think that it is right. I dont really think it is good to hit anyone but if you are protecting someone or doing it in defense then it is ok.

Congrats on putting yourself back to square one. Many of us had let that one comment go a while back where you encouraged violence against women, but seriously well done.

Obviously not yourself, though. Oh wait, I lied, you're the biggest grudge carrier here. Like I said before, until now it was an isolated incident that occurred probably 10 months ago, and you were holding it to him a half a year after the fact. dry.gif I believe that qualifies as a grudge.

QUOTE
Well hey, many of us didn't like the guy, and that was just an added 'bonus'.
There was no need to start ripping on him now, was there? C'mon, be mature... I mean, that's your job, to handle things maturely, right?

QUOTE
Firstly, it's actually really difficult for a woman to transmit AIDS to a guy. Probably some bullshit excuse from the guy to justify the behaviour. (This is generally why AIDS is more prevalent in gay men.)
But it is still doable, which makes his point valid. 1we8.gif
QUOTE
And actually, you did say it was your opinion. I'm sorry but people don't go spouting someone else's opinion when you don't believe it's correct, except to distinguish it or say why it's ridiculous.
And it is one thing to say a point is ridiculous and go on to prove that, than to say it is ridiculous, rip the person a new one, and then carry a grudge against them for months on end... right? You don't have to agree with their opinion, but at the very least you should show some respect for the person. dry.gif
QUOTE
At any rate, the guy was a lot larger than the girl, and she was clearly backing away and on the defensive. The guy deserved to removed from the situation, although for those that use violence as the first punishment they think of, he probably would not learn from just being removed, being beaten up is probably going to be the most effective way of getting the point across.
rolleyes.gif Way to echo H2O's point. Congratulations, you lose the debate on the grounds that you agreed with one of H2O's contentions. Either that or you're a hypocrite, take your pick.

Yet you condone violence against men, as stated above? You don't know the circumstances, but because of what you saw, beating the man up is okay. Great double standards. If we're going to do it that way, it is time to remove Women's Suffrage. smile.gif

Also- for the spelling and grammar mistakes, everyone isn't perfect. If it bothers you, talk to them about it, rather than holding it against the person without said person knowing. rolleyes.gif Maybe then they can fix it, and to address your comment about browser spell checks- I'm not so sure IE has one. Not every browser has one, and not all computers can support every browser efficiently due to hardware limitations. Say H2O is less fortunate and has a cruddy old PC, why would you hold a grudge against him because of a situation where he is trying the best he can but it still doesn't meet your standards?

Finally, the lack of respect comment- Out of line for a moderator. dry.gif You have to remain professional, as you obviously have not in this thread.
