Right, having me bitch about spam because some dumbass had to go make 30 topics in 3 minutes definitely helps rid the appearance of us being too uptight about spam. All it has done is given me more reason to complain about spam. And like I said initially, this is basically the general chat, I don't really see the difference except the name of the section.

We are trying to get rid of the idea that a lot of people seem to have that everything is spam. I am still of the opinion that most of the stuff that's been posted in chit chat could just as easily went in general chat. ( of course I don't mean the posts pyke had to remove, or the posts with pictures of spam, the food. )

And that is why I won't block this section of the board, because it is basically the GC, with the exception of a few assholes who need to spam a shitload.

It exists to get rid of the fear everyone has about everything being spam.

It does seem to feel a little more casual in here also. Just being able to talk about whatever the fuck you want too is kinda nice.

People will eventually start to realize that their post count doesn't go up in here and will only post spam in here instead of topics that they'd normally post in GC.

I don't think that'll be the case. The people who typically spam to get their post count up will realize that it doesn't increase your count, so they won't be prone to post in the section.

I agree with the rest of the staff, it can't go anywhere yet, it needs time to settle. It's like a kid with a new toy, of course they're going to be obsessed and go a bit crazy with it at first, soon enough it'll just become part of every day life and it won't be abused in the same way anymore .

Until then Hawk, if it bothers you, don't click on the section .
