Anyone happen to watch it? Of course it didn't answer much as usual, but it was pretty good. I thought that this was the last season for Lost, but they didn't make any mention of that during the recap episode.

Discuss...

Thank you to whoever moved it, I wasn't thinking about posting it in here, sorry!!

Honestly; I've attempted to watch Lost a few times. I may be wrong, but it seems to me; unless you've been watching all along and seen basically every episode, which I have not, any episodes you do watch will make no fucking sense whatsoever. If I'm wrong, sorry, but from the few I've seen; it's appeared that way. It looks so interesting but if my earlier analysis is correct, I'd have to watch a majority of the episodes to get the story, and I don't have the kind of time to watch that many.

You have to see it all. Even if you do, you could still spend hours and hours learning more about what's going on. There have been all sorts of ideas, especially related to the sky and star patterns (came from when the producers said "viewers should stop looking towards the island for the answers and start looking to the sky"). Anyway, don't attempt to watch from a random point.

Also, what episode? I've seen everything, and there's nothing on rlslog about another episode?

Yeah, if you were to start watching it now, it would probably make you turn the channel pretty quickly. It is a good show, you just gotta start at the beginning...then it gets you...hook, line and sinker. lol. I just wanna know if this is the last season or if they are going to keep dragging it on forever and ever...its starting to frustrate me a tad. Like I said though, it was a good episode...lots of info (for once!)

I did a little research and it seems that there are going to be a total of 6 seasons (this one being the 5th) so it will end sometime in 2010. Also read a few interviews from the makers of the show and they said that there isn't going to be any "boring" stuff in this season...they are going to be making it as fast paced as they can!

Wonderful show. One of the few that had to have a set number of seasons put in place to placate fans. It's usually that fans don't want to know a good show will end tongue.gif It's odd like that.

I can't wait for it to air here.

When does it usually air for you?

Justin was telling me about it and I just kinda blew it off. I watched pretty much most of the first season until I got an night time umpiring job and just had to drop it. Don't really feel like going back to watch the past seasons just so I can understand wtf is going on now. It wasn't that good of a show. Pissed me off more then anything.

No problem. tongue.gif

I thought it was pretty good overall. Lost is my favorite show of all time. biggrin.gif

Season 5 premiere spoilers:
The time travel thing should be pretty interesting. Still not quite sure if that will end up working for the better this season, but it certainly puts a new twist on this season compared to the rest. I like how so many dead characters came back last night as well. It was good seeing them again. tongue.gif I'm curious as to why Desmond and Richard don't seem to be affected by the time travel (specifically Richard), but I'm sure that will be revealed. I can also see Charlotte either dying or coming close to dying with the whole bloody nose/forgetfulness thing. Overall, I think this season should be good.

Desmond isn't affected by the time travel because he isn't on the island. I'm curious about Richard too though. I'm assuming that the Richard that was shown, was him in the past/future and not the actual Richard that is in their time. As dumb as that sounds, it's the only thing that makes sense, considering all of the others stayed on the island, at least afaik. Or the temple or w/e they're staying at is not affected by the time lapses.

The thing that is weird is that Locke is dead, but you hear someone say that he has to die...so there is some weird stuff going on there. Ben seems to have many contacts on the outside knowing about the island disappearing. Oh, one more thing, anyone know why the island is "skipping"? It didn't really clear that up and I'm a tad confused to that. They mentioned that they've moved it before, but never a reason as to why this time its skipping...is that another mystery??? lol

Charlotte\'s got a hemorrhage - remember in the beginning of the series when Desmond was habitually injecting himself with an antidote? I\'ve got a feeling that that warped back to when the infection was active, and she\'s affected by it.

When Richard says that Locke needs to die, it\'s in the past - during a \"3 years earlier\" scene. The time skipping is what happened RIGHT after The Oceanic Six left the island. Everything else that is show with the O6 is current-day. Therefore, 3 years earlier, Richard tells Locke he needs to die to get off the island - and in the present, he\'s dead.

The island \"skipping\" - the end of Season 4, Benjamin turned that wheel. This wheel is attached into the wall. This wall is the same wall that [melted 6 carbon drill bits, caused a guy get pwned, and that contains a massive energy source. The Doctor says GTFO UNTIL WE CAN HARNESS, WE CAN SHIFT TIME WITH DIS SHIT] (The part in brackets was mentioned in the first part of S5 E1.) The wheel was their method of harnessing this energy. Benjamin turns this wheel, releasing the energy, and shifting time. As to why the island can\'t lock back into time is unknown - so far. Try to remember in S4 when the freighter launched a pod to the island - the freighter saw the pod land 30 minutes before the survivors did.

Sorry if it\'s hard to follow...this shit\'s hard to explain.

I know that Ben told Locke that he needed to die to get off the island, but why? It seems Ben and the Others can travel to and from the island without having to kill themselves (although I could be wrong). Ben almost made it seem like he has done this before, or seen this done before. I know that there has been a lot of time changes, but still that hasn't been discussed at all. There are way to many mysteries, and I'm excited for them to start explaining themselves. I think Micheals son has a lot more do with the island then we are being led to believe, but then again, who the hell knows? lol. I think thats a good idea...you may want to repost that since its in the spoilers of your text tj

I think you misunderstood. He didn't say he had to die to get off the island. He said he had to die to get everyone back onto the island. If you remember, Locke talked to Jack before he died, so he doesn't kill himself to get off the island. I think the point of Locke dying is to scare everyone into coming back, thinking they'll die if they don't.

Yeah, I was reading a interview that the producers made and they said don't count any of the dead out yet. It seems that people are coming back to life somehow. We don't know 100% that he is dead though. Lost is weird like that, you think you have something down pat and then boom...big surprise, you don't. I did cry when he died. lol

We didn't actually see Jin die did we? All we saw was the freighter blowing up. Charlie is pretty dead though I think, and they've already said that you can't change the past so I can't see any way for him to come back. 1we8.gif
