In Topic: Is it possible for this to be done?

11 December 2011 - 10:19 PM

So basically, I download mods and custom content for my Sims 3 ALL the damn time. The custom content needs to be placed into a mods folder. When you download more, you have to place it in the mods folder located deep within the hard drive. (Quite an annoying place to get to if you're doing this frequently.)

Is there a way to create a shortcut folder in which any file you place into the shortcut folder automatically gets added to the file folder you're trying to reach? Kind of like a shortcut triggers a .exe file, only a folder in a more friendly place (desktop, or taskbar) that re-locates any files, or just makes a copy, and then sends it to the desired folder?

I'm on Mac OSX, but if it's possible to do on Windoze, I'll be just as happy either way. Muchas gracias ;D

Just go to the folder's location in Finder (the folder holding the folder) and drag the folder to your favourites in the sidebar, then you'll be able to choose it as a download location all the time :)

Oh and hi Missy (:

Erm...a couple of questions.

1) Why can't I find the elusive trading post anywhere?

2) Also, if you look at the Top Members tab at Item Database, how am I pricing items that restocks in places I don't AB or even go?? Identity theft!?!? I keeeel you!

1) Because you have 0 posts
2) Because the program manager automatically prices the database while it's on in the background, Ingenious! ;)
3) Welcome :D

In Topic: Conrad Murray Sentenced: Michael Jackson's Doctor Gets Four Years In Jail

05 December 2011 - 08:35 AM

The sentence seems fair to me, 4 years is a LONG time to spend in jail. The crimes which Mr. Murray were found guilty of warranted such a sentence. Doctors have a position of trust with their patients, Mr Murray should have never prescribed Jackson those drugs, to say he didn't know the risks would be poppycock, he's a doctor, it's what he's paid ALOT of money to know. And if he didn't know, he should have never prescribed it. Murray was so grossly incompetent and his patient paid for that with his life.
