cause it's not a SITE hosted event? SOTW is a codex exclusive event. I'm sure if someone had a "Post your funniest...." event it would be allowed as well, but as it is, SOTW is the only site exclusive event that i know about.

also, some wait till the last minute to enter (from what i've heard, my first week hosting) and a reminder would be pleasant for those planning to enter but haven't gotten around to it. Damn Scot you didn't bitch this much last week when Strat was hosting it.
