do you have to exit the building?
a few years ago when i lived in a dorm one person kept burning popcorn. we all had to leave the building and wait for the firefighters to climb several flights of stairs to ensure it was not a real fire.
the fifth time this happened one of the firefighters took their ax to the microwave - no one complained

Yay. You have a loophole. Have the case dismissed on a techinically since you are over 21, and therefor cannot be tried for that crime. And then go home and drink some more?
