People have reported to have better luck by simply going straight to the quick discard without looking at their inventory. 5k+ in junk seems to be the min for getting the avatar. Good luck!

Yeah quitters are the worst. I usually only play with my neofriends when they're on. I sold two items worth probably about 600k together for 300k just because they were sitting there for days with nothing. I dont have the patience for that.
