No, not unless you want to have access to a few movement-requiring items (such as the Heavy Robe of Thievery)

I only raised my movement to 200 to use the heavy robe of thievery. That item helped me quite a bit in 2p and Defenders of Neopia. Sometimes in 1P, the stolen item is a thyora's tear and in 2p, people leave their HT sowrd in their first slot
